His film is really good. I wouldn't be mad if we took his commitment.

hilarious to me that ppl think he sucks bc he is unranked in february when his recruitment is just starting to heat up. Just not enough stars by his name in february for some people. Hes an electric player from VA. offers are on the way.

His offer list is better than Kelly's and Bruce's combined.

I don't think we will take his commitment at the moment, but that line of thinking really doesn't apply.

This kid wasn't offered by michigan or michigan st

We didn't take either of them a year before signing day either. I'm just sayibg I'd prefer the size and speed advantages that Holloway offers, and IMO, it is too early to be taking a commitment from Tennyson. He is the kind of kid that you can get 6 months from now.

If you think he is legit and will blow up you take him before he blows up. It's the whole get on them early thing. TN is ahead of a lot of schools since two years in a row we lock most of the class down before NSD. So yeah TN is going to Prob offer a lot of kids as one of their first big offers and others will follow suit.

You think we take more than one slot? When I said I didn't think we would take Tennyson's commitment right now it is because I had Hardman in mind.

Sorry, I meant Perry. I don't know why I said Kelly.

Bruce and Perry combined. Those are our two potential slot guys from the '15 class.

Hardman has to be #1. Have to figure in what will happen with Bruce and Perry. I would take Hardman in the slot and 2 outside WRs. If they see Bruce or Perry at RB, then take another slot guy. That would be 5WRs, even that may be high with a smaller class. With Butch not including either at RB when talking RB numbers, I'd think Hardman and 2 outside guys. Jmo

I was thinking the same thing. Hardman as the slot, then two bigger outside guys with a possibility of a fourth receiver when the numbers start to work themselves out down the road.

I get that, and I don't disagree with it. I'm just saying my preference is for Holloway. Doesn't mean the coaches think the same way. I obviously will roll with their decision. They have given me little reason to question them.

Would rather have Grant Holloway if we are determined to take a commitment from an unranked, slot-type WR with a questionable offer list this early.

I still wish we would have taken TJ Rahming as a slot receiver last year and he wanted to be a Vol too. Dude has great speed/acceleration, good hands/ball skills, and runs good routes. He played really well in the All-American game as well. Had he been a few inches taller he would have been in everyone's top 200 list imo. Great get by Cut at Duke.

"Still on schedule is Donaven Tennyson and that one will be one I'm watching closely this weekend. He did not make the trip to Virginia Tech as once was planned. I think Tennessee could make a real move with him."

Awesome it'd be nice to get an early wide receiver commit.

"It was sweet,” he said. “I got a chance to see what Knoxville is all about. I liked the facilities and had a chance to speak with the coaches. I spent the most time with (wide receivers) coach (Zach) Azzanni. He told me he likes my speed and that if I continue to do what I’m supposed to do, good things will happen. He also told me I’d mostly play in the slot against linebackers because I’m shifty and can outrun them. He also said they put me in motion a lot for jet sweeps.
”I had a chance to sit down with coach (Butch) Jones, too. It was good talking with him one-on-one. He told me he was glad I came to visit and that they could really use me and that I’m a great person.”
