2017 State of Tennessee Recruit Commitments

Beyond the obvious bad optics and fan outrage, will the loss to VU cost us anyone who we were in on?

Any new commits? I figure the Vandy loss would at least got us another 2*

We might not get another commit for years after that Vandy game. :p In all seriousness, the USCe & Vandy games are going to hurt us in our recruiting. I don't care what anybody says. We were a team that was expected to be a top 10 team this season & possibly make the 4 team playoff.

We aren't nowhere near doing that. Injuries can't be used as excuses even though it's a reality that we lost so many key players to injury. Bottom line here is it's going to hurt with some/certain recruits while it won't matter at all with others.

It depends on their character, attitude & if they want to be part of this process that we seem to be in. Another 8-4 or 7-5 season is going to start hurting recruiting even more when it comes to getting the big dogs from each class.

You aint going to see much of the world in Clemson, SC or even Spartanburg for that matter. Clemson is a winning program with what is perceived to be an elite coaching staff. Tigers stole our lunch money and made the Best Staff in America eat a double decker turd sandwich with a side of life champion fries.

With the way they've played the last few years, they're going to get to see conference championship games, top tier bowl games, and maybe a few national championship playoff games.

Doubt they would see any of that in Knoxville with the current staff.

I hope the Vols don't regret letting Chase Hayden sign with Arkansas from everything that I have seen and read he's a solid prospect that has the skills and speed to play just about anywhere in the SEC.

Chase Hayden is a good RB but he IS NOT the caliber of RB in Ty Chandler period so we made the right decision there. We are going to probably get another RB too & I hope it's either Travis Etienne or Darrian Felix.

I see Ty Chandler running out of the power I formation with a fullback. Will that be a problem in a year or two like our other power I guy?

He is very similiar to Kelly and he can actually find a crease so no.

He may not be the caliber of Chandler, but he's certainly better than the other back committed to in this class.

Oh yeah! He's better than the Colman kid but we don't have Hayden over Coleman either. Coleman may end up being another one gone before it's over with.

I wouldn't be shocked at all especially if we can get Felix or Etienne to commit then I know he's probably gone.
