Anybody here familiar with the scalping situation at Augusta? I’ve got a buddy who’s looking to get a pass today or do one of those half day pass deals..

Rickie Fowler has that effect on me. No idea why.

I think golf would really be helped by having Fowler emerge as a star. Big time appeal to an audience that wouldn't typically watch golf (kind of like what Tiger did, but smaller scale). Yes, a lot of it would have to do simply with his appearance.

I'll go a different view. I really dont have anyone I dont want to see win. I'd rather see some of the up n comers win it - Kucher, Fowler, Dustin, etc... that havent won it. Maybe not some of the really dark horses - Vegas, Cantalay, etc.... but if they did it would be fun. One one I really dont care for is Ray Floyd. He's an ass. Saw him at the practice round one year and he just was an ass to the patrons. Gary Player was stopping to talk to any fan that wanted to but Ray wouldnt acknowledge anyone. Got to 16 and wouldnt skip the ball. Screw him.

There's something relieving about watching a top PGA pro doink one off a tree from the pine straw or drown five consecutive balls.

Way to early to say that on this course.

The last 21 (I think) winners of this tournament have not made anything worse than bogey for the tournament.

Ultimately I agree that he isn't out of it, but that is an interesting stat. He has to start heading back in the right direction immediately given how much ground he has to make up, and he can't have another slip up.

if we had spent as much time looking for our ball as Tiger did the marshalls would have come by and told us to pick up the pace

It's just really hard for anyone to go crazy low at Augusta and make up for big numbers.

If he doesn't finish really strong on the last 2, he is probably done. May even miss the cut. One year, Curtis Strange shot 80 on 1st day, 65 on 2nd, and made the cut on the number, 10 strokes back. By hole 13 on Sunday, he was leading and would have won if he had wisely laid up on 13 and 15. He got wet on both holes and lost.

Looks like Tiger dropped a few strokes since I was watching earlier. What happened?

Well, the "best iron player that ever stepped on a golf course," according to doozer has had distance control problems with said irons.
