**2019 March Madness RF Thread**

Rick Barnes probably isn't going to say much about the officiating. He should. It's been a real problem and it isn't fair to the players who work hard and play the right way. Turner has a valid point, and it deserves to be heard and addressed. When bad officiating changes the games as much as it has the past month, the refs need to be held accountable.
Thats 3 losses from refs this season. Auburn the first game, LSU, Purdue

I think Grant Ramey quoted him as saying it was a foul.

What is it with UT and high drama? Jekyll and Hyde teams, getting way behind and having to make epic comebacks, blowing huge leads, rollercoaster highs and lows. Adrenaline junkies must find UT sports exhilarating.

I love these guys. I hate to bitch at them, but consistency was just never their forte...but..

It's crazy that the ONE thing they consistently always did well..FT shooting..is what killed them at the end..

We are gonna be a 9+ loss team next year IMO. We just lose too much, and nobody is ready to play.
Gonna be a whole different team next year. Four starters could be gone.
This is What I worry about as well a sizeable fall off from this year. Guys like Fulky, Pons, Johnson are going to have to grow up a lot this summer for next years team to be special. Even if they dont start we need more from guys coming off the bench

What made them so inconsistent and is it fixable thats the question for next year
I could never understand the inconsistency. Maybe it is because these guys had to play at a extremely high level to overcome their individual shortcomings, and it was just too hard for all of them to do it together.

Bone simply shouldn't go. I think he would help his stock as the unquestioned leader of the team next season (assuming Grant declares).

I agree. He can still improve his game and I hope he stays. But with AD, Kyle and probably Grant leaving, it'll be tempting to move on if he evaluates well.

Maybe and it sort of makes sense. But this was the team that brought this program back from the bottom. Over the 4 years weve gotten to know these guys pretty well and theyve been great ambassadors for the university. Even if we have a team that finally gets that elusive win I dont think it will be as special as if this team had done it

Rick Barnes is on the NCAA rules committee. There are only like 3 D1 coaches as the rest are made up of AD’s and D2 and D3 coaches.

If Williams and Bone don't leave, Josiah James is what he could be, and the bigs (Walker, Fulkerson, Burns) develop enough to replace what Alexander contributed, then this team could get back this far.

Replacing the attitude and leadership of Schofield won't come easy.
