About to possibly wrap up one of the worse 24 hours of basketball ever as a fan. UT loss, Duke surviving, KY surviving.

When they have a night that they don't get so many TOs, and they go 9 for 40..they are going to get destroyed. Especially against a great rebounding team...

Look...I agree that it looks great, but old farts remember the old Loyola-Marymount frenzied chaos scheme...this ain't something new...there is a reason why most teams that win don't play that way...

Well, they are in the elite eight and there are only seven more that are there. We have never been there. They are beating the stuffing out off everyone in the NCAA Tournament. I think he i a very very good coach and am really mad that he saw fit to lie to our University and the NCAA. He can not be trusted, but he can recruit and win basketball games.

This seems like too frequent of a type of question for Volnation...if this had not have happened, what would have been the outcome? Gives me the sads as I continue to see it over and over...in football, both basketball programs, certain games, etc. Ugh!

My suspicion is that someone in UTAD encouraged CBP to lie about the bbq because they were worried with all the other violations that one more would get a lack of institutional control charge.

Like I said, don't disagree.

It's a philosophical difference that's all.

But to your point about turnovers...

They committed 11 of their own night... But got Carolina to turn it over I think 13 times... And got 6 blocks.

That's 19 possessions (+8) that helps lead to the ability to shoot close to 40 3's. Last night, they put up 37. basically, just keep shooting it.

It'll be interesting to see how that changes against a really good defensive team (Carolina was apparently 11th in the country on defense, from what I was told last night) and is really efficient offensively.

UVA v Auburn would be THE clash of opposing styles.

I was thinking about this last night. We would probably have at least one Final 4 appearance but more than one infraction to deal with.

My opinion of Bruce has changed. I was a huge fan of Bruce. I was so ticked at UT for not having his back, I told them to shove their season tickets. I was a fan of Bruce when he took the auburn job. But I ow see Bruce for what he is, a huge cheater. You can't convince me he didn't know what was going on with the show stuff. I now hope he gets what's coming to him. I hope he every win gets vacated and he's banned from coaching forever. Doubt it happens but that's what should imo.

I said a couple of years after we hired him, that we hired a coach who was willing to play “the game.” He was willing to stretch and/or break the rules. I doubt Buzz Peterson did. The FBI investigation continues to confirm that.
