**2019 March Madness RF Thread**

Purdue played a great game against Villanova, but Villanova also played a terrible game against Purdue.

The gap between the next game should cool off Purdue, it's hard to get hot and then sit for almost a week before playing again. It actually helps us we got them Thursday and not Saturday (for example). I believe if we play a good game the way we play ball we can beat them.

That is the thing though...IF..we play the way we are capable of playing we can beat anybody in CBB...BUT...it seems like that IF is a wiggly wormy thing that these boys have a hard time keeping hold of..

I still say we have not, and may never see this teams best game. You know, that game where all 5 starters are playing well above average, and the bench contributes also..when the defense is top notch top to bottom...

This team has not played that game yet. I would love to see it just once this year.

Lol..let's hope somebody forgot to change the oil...

Purdue lacks quality depth (only 5 guys average 20+ minutes a game) and they don't seem to have any real scoring threats aside from Edwards & Cline and most of their production comes from the 3 ball as both jack up at least 7 a game.

As a team they appear to be poor at rebounding and creating turnovers. I think if we score north of 75 we'll win the game because I just don't think they've got enough options to score. My biggest concern will be how well Grant & Kyle deal with Haarms their 7'3" Center

I think the game against Wake Forest was close, we got double digits from 4 starters (including Kyle) and had just 5 turnovers with 17 assist and over 30 rebounds. Held them to just 64 points too, got solid minutes from Bowden, Jalen, Fulkerson off the bench. Turner was still out injured and it was Pons when he was playing strong defensively.

Yeah it was a good one...but that performance is dimmed somewhat by the competition. The main thing is we can win with a couple of the guys having off nights, but these long stretches where the whole freakin team go unbelievably ice cold shooting, making bone headed ball handling/passing mistakes, and lapses in defensive intensity and rebounding are gonna get them killed at this level.

When did tweets become reports? I have a bad feeling someone is trying to be first to "report" something that may not happen....ugh our local media is so bad to put things out with no true proof or source.

Probably another Stephen Hargis moment.

UT is only really playing 6 right now so.....

Yeah we've got 6 guys who are averaging at least 22 minutes. And then Pons/Fulkerson have averaged 12 a piece. Means if one of their starting 5 is in foul trouble they'll be at a disadvantage.

Lets hope several of them get in foul trouble 😃
