I am rather surprised only a 2% sales tax increase could contribute that much retraction to be honest. With the virus there and in China it will be very interesting on a US economic impact.

I’m waiting on all of the “
true to their beliefs liberals” in here to denounce him as a racist , and say he has no place under our diversity tent . Am I going to be waiting long ?

I’ll take a stab at what’s going to happen . Luther will say it’s right wing propaganda, BB will keep rolling with its past its expiration date and the right is afraid of Bloomberg , El is furiously hunting some Tweet or NYT article about white nationalist getting married , Mick will ignore it and Lawgator will start a Thread about the wasted time the right spends on digging up old interviews when we should be focusing on the present .

If it's a verifiable quote, it's obviously not right wing propaganda, but it will certainly be used by the right wing. (Not sure what quote you're referring too)
Bloomberg spent time as a republican, he's old, he's been a public figure for decades. I'm sure he has a long list of stupid and unfortunate quotes.

But then again-- Last night, some guy was calling Bernie the commie grandpa on MSNBC. If that is happening on a Dem Friendly station, Trump, his supporters and Fox news will be having a field day. Not to mention, Bernie Bros will be out threatening anyone who doesn't like him. (Some were hoping that the race car driver would die last night because he was a Republican-- I was told this--didn't see it myself)

Bloomberg makes the debate stage Wednesday.

I really worry about our country, more than I have in a very long time.

Which is why Rosie it the perfect counter example to Trump.
I understand the worry. I held out hope that there would eventually be a more unified reaction and response to Trump.

The reason we are seeing MSNBC call Bernie a communist is because he is either a so it’s heavy or a communist lite . The DNC knows he’s too far left and they are trying to stop him . Don’t take my word for it , there are qualifications to both . What Bernie wants to do policy wise and what has come out of his mouth in his own words is why you are seeing those” Dem friendly “ outlets attacking him .
