2020 Presidential Race

I don't see how Liz really helps him other than maybe with Bernie supporters.
Biden made the choice that it was going to be a woman. So looking at it honestly: Kamala brings nothing Joe doesn't already have, the AA vote is solidly behind him; Warren is a peace offering to a bunch of Bros that either won't vote or will vote for Jesse Ventura and the Green Party, so they are best ignored; Abrams is the same as Kamala; Duckworth is a solid, solid choice, but she has said she doesn't want it; Wilmer has some baggage now with the protest stuff. I just don't see anyone other than Amy being the best choice. She is moderate and helps in the Midwest.

In other news, Justice Democrats are forming their own super PAC. It will be glorious watching them try to defend their purity tests about campaign contributions when the money starts rolling in. Bunch of ****ing hypocrites.

No, thanks. I would much rather make fun of the people at Breitbart for not knowing that the word "intercourse" had more than just one meaning, while the Volnation poster known as @Franklin Pierce apparently didn't have a clue either, or he wouldn't have posted that as an intended swipe at Joe Biden.
People getting hung up on peoples words... How ridiculous.... No one ever does that😳

Democrat Operatives Launch ‘Committee to Draft Michelle Obama’ for VP

A newly-launched committee called “Draft Michelle Obama” is pushing for Joe Biden, the apparent Democrat presidential nominee, to select the former first lady as his running mate.

He's already said he's going to pick a woman. Stupid to pick a country's leadership based on their genitals, but that is what he's gonna do.

Nolte: 26% of Democrats Want Joe Biden Replaced After Hearing Tara Reade Denial

With 26 percent of Democrat voters now calling for Joe Biden to be replaced as the Democrat presidential nominee, there is no question the former vice president’s Morning Joe appearance, where he denied sexually assaulting Tara Reade in 1993, was a disaster.

Only 61 percent of Democrats says Biden should not be replaced. And of those 61 percent, only a measly 41 percent say he should definitely not be replaced.

Morning Consult conducted the poll of 1,991 registered voters and showed them a 35-second video clip of Biden’s denial. There is a two-point margin of error.

When broken down by age, a whopping 40 percent of Democrats under the age of 45 want Biden gone, while just 15 percent of Democrats 45 and over agree.

Trump Says Biden Should Pick Elizabeth Warren For Vice President

President Donald Trump suggested Monday that presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden should tap former competitor Elizabeth Warren as his running mate ahead of the 2020 election.

The president told The New York Post that Warren was “responsible” for Biden’s win due to her refusal to drop out of the race and endorse Bernie Sanders. (RELATED: Joe Biden Says America Needs More ‘Economic Intercourse’)

“I think Elizabeth Warren is responsible for Joe Biden’s win because she didn’t drop out and [Democratic Vermont Sen.] Bernie [Sanders] would have won every single state on Super Tuesday,” Trump said. “I think he should pick Elizabeth Warren because Elizabeth Warren, more than any other person, including [Democratic South Carolina Rep.] Jim Clyburn and including anybody you can name, is responsible for the win of Joe Biden.”

Trump’s comments signal a rare agreement between the president and the Democratic Party’s base. A significant plurality of Democratic voters want to see Biden pick Warren as his running mate, according to a poll published Monday by CBS News. The poll found that 36% of Democratic voters prefer Warren as vice president, followed by 19% who prefer Democratic California Sen. Kamala Harris.

Finally found a concise article going over Amashs stance on the Mueller report. Justin Amash becomes the first Republican in Congress to call Trump’s conduct impeachable

I was only able to find pieces before but this stitches them together.

He is saying he read the report, disagreed with Barrs stance on it, and then voted the way he felt appropriate. He even noted that impeachment doesnt equal guilt in a court of law.

Amash specifically noted cases of what he believed to be Trump abusing the public trust as part of his reasoning.

Without him going point by point I see it hard to say he was wrong to vote the way he did.

He viewed the vote as a yes/no measure and not some deeper thing in accordance to his beliefs of the Constitution.

One may not like his conclusions but he can back them up, which is far more than most.

Pete qualifies as a woman, correct? Some one said he is the wife of the marriage.

Biden’s Edge ‘Evaporates‘ In New National Poll, Trump Trusted On Economy, Coronavirus

Former Vice President Joe Biden held a significant national lead over President Donald Trump in most opinion polls, even as late as last week, but a new Reuters/Ipsos poll released late Tuesday shows Trump narrowing that gap, with the pair now within just two points.

Last week, Biden led the Reuters/Ipsos poll by a respectable six points, as Americans expressed concern that Trump was not effectively handling the coronavirus crisis. Now, though, that lead has “evaporated,” according to Reuters, leaving Biden just two points ahead of Trump and well within the poll’s three point margin of error.

Biden’s lead is down even further from a month ago, when he led Trump by a staggering eight points nationwide.

“The opinion poll conducted on Monday and Tuesday found that 43% of registered voters said they would support Biden in the Nov. 3 presidential election, while 41% said they would back Trump. That makes the contest essentially a toss-up, as the results are within the poll’s credibility interval,” the outlet said. ‘Biden led by 6 percentage points in a similar poll last week and by 8 points in a poll that ran April 15 to 21.”

The news is better for President Trump, who has recently struggled to regain American confidence after record high approval ratings. Respondents are more confident that Trump, rather than Biden, can handle the coronavirus epidemic, and far more confident that Trump, rather than Biden, can mastermind an economic recovery.

“According to the poll, 45% of Americans said Trump was better suited to create jobs, while 32% said Biden was the better candidate for that. That pushed Trump’s advantage over Biden in terms of job creation to 13 points, compared with the Republican president’s 6-point edge in a similar poll that ran in mid-April,” Reuters reported. ‘Thirty-seven percent said Trump was better leading the country’s coronavirus response, while 35% preferred Biden. A similar poll in mid-April showed Biden had a slight edge over Trump when it came to the nation’s response to the disease.”

Florida congresswoman Val Demings becomes latest Democrat to say she would accept role as Joe Biden's running mate amid calls for him to select a minority woman

Florida Democratic Rep. Val Demings is the latest vice presidential contender to say publicly that she would serve alongside Joe Biden – as a key member of Biden's team is urging him to select a minority woman.

Demings cited her time as the police chief in Orlando Wednesday, saying would be 'honored' to serve alongside Biden, who has pledged he will choose a woman as his running mate.
