2020 Presidential Race

Cases are up. Hospitalizations are going back up too. And deaths will lag.

Everybody is so scared of cases. I have had covid and I know lots and lots and lots of people who had it and it was basically a head cold. I understand it can be dangerous for people with weakened immune systems.. Deaths is what matters and covid deaths have been in a steady decline. If you will look at the screenshot I attached (thanks to ajvol) of total deaths in the United States you will see that we are right on pace with the past 4 years. So my question is if the same amount of people die in America this year as have the past 4 years, was there ever really a pandemic or was it just a plandemic??

I think we have seen an increase in deaths.

But even with the increase I wont affect our nation overall. This year will be a statistical anomaly with about 5-10% extra deaths, while the next couple years will probably have slight decreases in death rate. Beyond that we dont even need to worry about balancing it out because it's not large enough to matter.

Every life lost is a tragedy but at the scale of our nation they boil down to stastics. And these stastics are barely outside our typical year to year margin of error/fluctuation.

MAGA b!tches!

I have no idea how this will all pan out, but considering all the discussions on the safety and the effectiveness of vaccines and the path to herd immunity, it will be interesting to look back in 2-3 years and see what role any of these mass gatherings (whether or not people were tested or results politicized) played in working toward herd immunity.

Questions of the day for Joe Biden

At which point were you most confused yesterday?

When you:

1. Mistook Ted Kennedy for Klansman Robert Byrd?
2. Said you were running for Senate?
3. Forgot Romneyโ€™s name & called him โ€œthe Mormonโ€?
4. Said you were in PA when you were in OH?

It never got resolved.... I donโ€™t necessarily agree with it but I definitely respect a president thatโ€™s willing to try something thatโ€™s not popular on either side of the aisle.
I would agree unless it blows up in your face. Unfortunately for Trump and us, results are everything. But trade wars have long been known to not work. This is why it doesn't pay to elect amateurs.

Considering our trade imbalance with China has exploded over the last 50 years I guess it doesn't pay to elect professionals either.

'Joe's only going to get worse': Trump accuses Biden of having 'dementia' after he forgets 'that Mormon senator' Mitt Romney's name and AGAIN says he running for the Senate!

Donald Trump claimed Tuesday that since Democratic nominee Joe Biden could not remember Mitt Romney's name Monday when referencing the Republican senator, he must have dementia.

'Mitt can't be thrilled about this! Joe also said yesterday he's running for the U.S. Senate (again) and totally forgot where he was (wrong State!),' the president wrote in an early morning Twitter rampage, pointing to other gaffes from the former vice president on the campaign trail.

Trump added: 'Joe has never been a nice or kind guy, so it's easier to find this obvious & rapidly getting worse 'dementia' unacceptable for USA!'
