Joe Biden town hall likened to an episode of Mister Rogers

It was a beautiful night in the neighborhood for Joe Biden, according to critics who compared the Democratic presidential candidate’s town hall on ABC News to a Mister Rogers episode.

The former veep was mostly lobbed softballs by George Stephanopoulos in Philadelphia on Thursday while President Trump was grilled by NBC News’ Savannah Guthrie in Miami, where the former litigator peppered him with questions and fact checks.

“This is a townhall? where is the town? its just Savannah badgering. what a joke,” Fox News host Greg Gutfeld said in a tweet.

Emails: Burisma Adviser Told Hunter Biden His ‘Ultimate Purpose’ Was to ‘Close Down’ Investigations

An adviser to the Ukrainian energy company Burisma suggested in an email in 2015 that Hunter Biden was expected to provide “deliverables” for the company, including the “ultimate purpose” of stopping “cases/pursuits into the company’s founder.

The email, contained in a batch published by Ken LaCorte at the Media Action Network, is reportedly from the same laptop that has been the source for a recent series of articles in the New York Post purportedly about Hunter Biden’s business dealings. The authenticity of the emails has not been verified.

The batch includes an email in November 2015 from Burisma adviser Vadim Pozharskyi to Hunter Biden’s business partners (on which Hunter Biden was cc’ed), outlining a set of “deliverables.”

The emails make clear that Biden and his partners were expected to arrange meetings with U.S. and Ukrainian officials with the goal of “improving Nikolay’s case and his situation in Ukraine.”

We live in a small subdivision. Except for people mowing lawns or the occasional dogs barking we don't hear noise from our neighbors ... with one exception. All day parties with music that rattles the place - guess the color. I helped my neighbor the other day with an electrical issue and mentioned that it must really jar them (he happens to be black himself and his backyard backs up to theirs). He said we probably just get the bass, but he gets the lyrics, too; and he says they are unfit for kids in the neighborhood. He also checked with the cops about the noise - the noise ordinance has time limits, and they magically turn it down right on time. Obviously they've been approached before and "know their rights." Harder to find ways to boot somebody out than find ways to keep them out - stereotypes aren't good, but they usually have some basis. I've seen the behavior repeated time after time in Army barracks, dorms, and cars on the street - respect others and they will respect you - a simple rule.

It was politics as normal......which sucked, but not nearly as bad as Trump.
I can fully understand hating "politics as normal". What I will never understand is viewing Trump as a way to improve "politics as normal". He took what was already bad and made it far worse. (as most everyone knew he would)

Trump was corrupt and "not normal" decades before entering politics.

He didn't make it any worse. Improve......discussion....

I'd rather a private industry player of the game, than the political corrupt hack who exists entirely because of the game.

Big business is dirty and mean and nasty. Trump played in the pond. Biden sucked off the teet of the citizens and private entities in the pond for 50 years.

Monetizing methane from animal waste is really not that new. It is already being done, whether pig farms or beef or dairy or chicken, it all works pretty much the same. Collect the waste, put it in a lagoon covered with a big roof/tarp, and collect the methane which can be used as boiler fuel, or to generate electricity on site, or cleaned up to pipeline quality and sold to a natural gas distributor. My company is involved in this type of thing where pipeline quality is needed.

Whatever big business is... it doesn't seem like Trump is very good at it. His golf resorts are not profitable, neither is the new hotel in DC. Trump has made one great investment - Trump Tower in midtown Manhattan. The rest is savvy self-promotion with a tremendous boost from Mark Burnett and "The Apprentice".
