Not really. They shut the .gov down 2/3 times fighting so how can you say they worked well? The only thing that got Clinton to budge was when teh Dems had their azz handed to them in his first midterm. Clinton decided he liked being POTUS and compromised some, after his reelection there was no compromise.

I certainly was talking about the time after the Republicans took the House, but together with Clinton and the Senate, they compromised very well.

Trump leveraged foreign military aid, which had been authorized by Congress to the Ukraine, against their president's willingness to perform a campaign favor for him, by publicly announcing an investigation into the Bidens on CNN. In doing so, Trump was effectively using the promise of money in order to influence President Zelensky's professional conduct towards a course of action that personally benefitted him. That constitutes bribery (with the item of value being the campaign favor).

BRIBERY: the offering, giving, soliciting, or receiving of any item of value as a means of influencing the actions of an individual holding a public or legal duty.

Nice try...no investigation was launched by Ukraine..money was delivered before Congressional deadline....Trump did not personally benefit like Biden has been accused...sounds like only a case that someone like Adam Schiff would pursue

That is not true and a Trump/White House talking point that was blatantly false. The money that was held up by Trump was late as a result of the freeze. And President Zelensky would have made that appearance on CNN if it had not been for the whistleblower's complaint.
