2020 Presidential Race

Well, which is it??
You feel confident in a win, RIGHT??
You have unprecedented numbers voting FOR your boy, RIGHT??
OR, are you worried??
Biden will win, but this is going to get messy. It could take up until the week of Thanksgiving for the final results to be known. Trump doesn't have a leg to stand on, when it comes to his claim that a winner must be announced on election night. We all know that is absurd, and we all know why he is doing it.

Saved for future ridicule.

I think your analysis and prognostication is probably spot on. One thing is for certain, if Trump tells his supporters that Biden's overwhelming lead in mail-in voting is a result of fraud - they will believe it, with no evidence required.

One issue is that the earliest mail in vote received looked to be the most pro-Biden. At this point, it is close to 50/50 or pro Trump. If Trump’s strategy is to kill late arrivals in close states, then he could be cutting off his nose to spite his face.

To stop the printing presses.

That would be one of your longest (self) serving reps. This is what's sad. Your party's leadership calls for violence and harassment and you don't even care. But you are typical
Considering Republican leadership is just as bad or worse, where do you get off?

I think the election remains contested until SCOTUS rules on the various lawsuits that will be filed by Trump. If 2000 is any gauge, that would mean around December 10th.

However, I suspect Trump ain't gonna file just one lawsuit... he's gonna file multiple lawsuits in multiple states with multiple, differing allegations...

Not sure if this could gum up the legal system until January or beyond, but I suspect it certainly could... particularly when you (again) look at all the evidence we already know about Trump:

(1) He's extremely litigious. He sues and threatens to sue virtually anyone and everyone, and has done so for years;
(2) He's already said that he's sending his lawyers to PA and other contested states;
(3) He has a history of fighting every 'lost' lawsuit through appeal, and will exhaust every avenue of fighting the results legally - resulting in further time delays;
(4) He's already stated publicly that the "only way he can lose the election is if it's rigged"; and
(5) He will NEVER concede the election to Biden - at least not by saying he won 'fair and square'.

The Constitution spells out a remedy here... kind of. That if the EC doesn't establish a winner prior to inaugural day, that the standing President still leaves the office... but, then the House comes into play, and it gets thorny and (again) subject to litigation and political shenanigans, I think.

I really like that we have a Democratic Party Governor in each of those crucial rust belt states: Pennsylvania (Tom Wolf), Michigan (Gretchen Whitmer), Wisconsin (Tony Evers) and Minnesota (Tim Walz). There shouldn't be any shenanigans with getting the votes counted. The Trump legal team will exhaust their options in court, but there just isn't any legal justification for not counting ballots received by election day.

Sort of like Russia?

There are a lot of junky laws made by Republican legislatures in these states though

Yeah it's kind of a bad look for a guy like that to complain. He hasn't accomplished a damn thing on his own merits
I agree that he has had it super easy but I hate the Ad that Kamala ran.... Nothing is ever going to be equal nor should it be.... we should be teaching young people to face challenges/ fail..... get back up and push forward.... you will eventually succeed.

This assumes the results are sufficiently close that a couple of states would swing the election. It may be obvious even on election night that the MAGA ship is going down.
