2020 Presidential Race

I just hope that when Trump wins in a landslide tomorrow that maybe, just maybe, the dems will realize that Americans don’t want the radical left to run this country and will actually move back towards the center

Ad I hope the right learns, if he losses like I think he will, that you can’t just support a loud mouth who “owns the Dems” with his rhetoric. The middle won’t support a supreme a hole.

Yes, I agree for the most part. We both know when people OPEN carry (and not to hunt, or as a hobby) to intimidate it’s a problem. We both know rioting and looting is a problem. I think probably both of us know that people in these categories are in the minorities of left or right leanings, but unfortunately become the faces of those leanings. I’ve never rioted or looted and I believe you’ve probably never walked into a capital building with an AR.
Like I said earlier, I bet we aren’t really that far off in how we see it. We just have to get our communication on the same level. Until that starts happening on a grander scale by our leaders and they start focusing on where they can find common ground it’s going to be really hard for this country to come together.

He's replacing indoctrination with indoctrination. It's funny that people like you view that as a positive. Well, funny in a really sad sort of way
It’s really not that hard. In school they should teach facts, not opinions on whether or not history was right or wrong. Political views in any direction should be left to the parents to discuss and for kids to develop outside of the schools.

First election results are in. Biden carries Dixville Notch, NH,
five votes to zero for Trump. It’s the first time since 1960 that a candidate received 100 percent of the vote.

But the trade deficit is expanding under Trump. Not getting smaller. You should point your anger at your boy who promised to fix that. Not only did he not fix it he made it worse.

Momentum. When you shut down your industry and ship it off to China, you simply can't fix it over night. We aren't talking flipping switches or turning faucets. Part two is corporations have to decide to bring jobs home; make the capital investment in facilities; retrain a workforce they dumped; and not being China, the government can't snap fingers and say "make it happen". It is a strategic issue - a matter of national well being and survival, but the globalists who hijacked our industry being globalists don't particularly care. There's also the other matter that the same corporate shills who sold us out to the Chinese are likely just intelligent enough to figure out that what they might create here will have to compete against what they gave away to the Chinese.

Envy? Hardly. I am perfectly happy with my life. The truth hurts sometimes. No one made it impossible to manufacture here. You can absolutely make money manufacturing in the U.S. It's when greed takes over that it becomes difficult because more profit becomes the ONLY objective.

The corporate overhead (anybody not making the product) does have a lust for unreasonable reward. BUT that takes a back seat to union driven labor costs (aided and abetted by government favoritism toward unions and idiotic minimum wage games) and to excess regulation driving environmental and energy costs. It makes no sense to excessively penalize a US company over pollution when they can pollute at will in China - we've got one earth and one environment and it makes a lot more sense to regulate reasonably than to move manufacturing and pollute at will.

That's certainly got me concerned. If it were a straight popular vote, my wife and I will cancel 2/5 of dufus notch tomorrow - pretty sure '72 already knocked off two of the others.

I have no idea who wins. I still think we all lose no matter which one does win. But tomorrow night should be interesting. One side will be crowing and the other will be offering up excuses. As our country continues to fall apart, all I ask is you amuse me. I could use the laughs.
