Earlier, I calculated the total count for PA to be something like 6,670,000 votes - looks like the total counted is about 5M - so in the range of 1.67M votes to be counted. Way too many to be safe.

EDIT - it goes to ranked choice if no one gets above 50% Not sure how that would play out. Crazy to think someone with an 8 point lead would lose in a rank choice instant runoff

I think you are looking at that wrong.

If 96 & 98 percent of the vote is in for those two counties and you assume a million votes, at a 80% success rate for Biden, he has 800,000 votes from those two counties. If 3 percent is left between Those two counties there are 30,000 votes remaining.
