Both parties will have to tell each others extremists to sit this one out and let the moderates work things out for a change.

Gridlock is a misnomer, IMO. When people say it's gridlocked, they're still passing too many new laws. Gridlock is good. That's specifically why it's the sweet spot. They pass way too much BS, which is why we are $26T in debt. If we have a Republican congress and D POTUS, Republicans actually do their jobs and kind of oppose runaway government.
