Not only ammo but guns too. You can find ammo on cabelas/bass pro sometimes. Just make an account and create a wish list with what you’re interested in. Jump on from time to time and check your wishlist and sometimes you get lucky. My local academy gets trucks in every m-w-f. I’ve lucked up a couple times there and was able to double dip on the limit last time because they got a nice shipment.

My dad was told that Italy is an important producer of primers, and they are basically on shutdown. Also, that a number of domestic ammo producers are located in blue states, and factories are only allowed to run at around 25% capacity due to CV19 restrictions.

My local gun store saves me some if I ask them too and get a discount if paying with cash. I’m not hurting for any, just sucks that we’re right back where we were 4 years ago.
