Why is it desperation to make sure legal votes are counted correctly and obvious illegal votes are discarded? That is the job of election commissions in cases like this and we’ve had a few in our electoral history. That’s all this is about. As long as the outcome reflects the vote count correctly, I’m good with it.

It's context. All of that takes place within 8 blocks and over a few hours late at night. It's been "bad" on a few evenings only.. But you guys blow the size of it and the scope of it out of proportion. The riots are dumb and annoying to me. But it was worse when Trump tried to police the streets with Feds. But the city is fine and goes on business as usual. It's not dangerous to be here despite what you're told and what you guys try to portray as all of Portland.
