Which was allowed to lapse because it was about to get kicked by SCOTUS. The high capacity magazine bans in states like California and New York. California law just thrown out by the 9th circuit court of appeals.......

I don’t think he did put himself above the country. I agree with his stance or actions on China, N Korea, Paris Climate Accord, WHO withdrawal, Immigration and building the wall. The first president which treated the United States as a business with the America citizens as it’s workers. Trump was America first (which includes it’s citizens). He wanted the US to realize it’s full potential from a security and financial perspective.
