Not me, batman. I'm retired. What get's extorted in increased taxes to support their free stuff just won't be going back into the economy.

There's a very good segment of the book I'm currently reading describing in detail after the fall of S Vietnam how communism drove Vietnam completely into the gutter (except for the top communists running the place). Anybody with a functioning brain can see the failed logic of socialism, but the people who need the lesson are too unwilling to learn, and stupid enough to drag everybody down to the same level of failure. It's a failure that goes hand in hand with socialism every time, but the gullible still believe.
