2020 Presidential Race

If this is suffering then bring out the iron maiden.
You could always run for the hills.

White man came across the sea,
He brought us pain and misery.
He killed our tribe, he killed our creed.
He took our game for his own need.

P.S. Luther is not on ignore. I just ignore him. Nobody has been on ignore for a long time here.

I think most Dems are waiting on Biden. (Personally, I'm tired of the divisiveness) Front runners will be Bernie, Biden and maybe Harris, IMO.

The more time goes on, the more I doubt Biden will run.

Bernie is a no go from the start. Same to a lesser extent with Harris.

Hickenlooper could be about the most "neutral" candidate you have on that side of things, but even he isn't entirely plausible as a candidate (no real national level exposure).

The best thing the DNC could do is ask Jim Webb to run.

A snowball in hell has a better chance but I agree.

No chance, he would get drilled in the primary

He can appeal to the centrist crowd the DNC is quickly losing.

Here's the deal. A lot of traditional Democrats (not your idiot socialists) won't have a problem voting for him. A lot of centrist Republicans that held their nose and voted for Trump could vote for him as well. He's not going to capture the hyper-left that's reserved for Bernie and anyone else who is trying to be more potato than the next guy or gal in that arena. But they don't need that vote to win. All they have to do is capture the votes they are losing (the ones that are walking away from the socialist policies) and the non-aligned voters that don't particularly want Trump, but certainly don't want an Elizabeth Warren type either.

The other thing they have to do is stop being so anti-Trump about everything. You can't attack the policies so far. You can't attack the economics. Either of which can and will get you laughed off stage. What you do is put Trump on the offensive by saying "he's done a lot of good with the economy so far and we would like to continue that by doing this, that and one more thing. Also, we can help fix this, that and another item which has been ignored by him so far."

So, in reality, they are going to lose huge in 2020.

The Democrats that are running now are so communist/socialist leaning I suspect most moderate Democrats are freaking out about the possibility of having to vote for any of them. If a candidate ran that was even the slightest bit not crazy, I think the Dems would flock to him/her. Least of several evils. Much like republicans did with Trump in the general against Hillary.

There really isn't a place for a centrist in that party, Manchin is an exception but he is in West Va. The base and donor are so radical they would not let someone like Webb get the nom. I actually think he could win the general. It's unfortunate but the nominee of that party will be socialist,antifa,anti-white,anti-man,anti-Christian etc..

Webb is about the only one out there on either side whom I could vote for without holding my nose.

But as someone else just posted, he has about a snowball's chance in hell of getting the nomination.

Oh, I know. Which is why I said Trump wins handily in 2020.
