It has nothing to do with anything other than making their constituents FEEL better about how their politicians care. With liberals, it's all about FEELINGS.

You’re not thinking it all the way through. Even though they have no plans to do it, they won’t waste the opportunity to blame its “failure” to happen on racist conservatives.

Slavery was a horrific part of our past, but it's in the past. Historically, across the world, there's not a race that hasn't practiced slavery at some point, so blaming only white people seems very simplistic. Even the tribes of Africa practiced slavery, and it wasn't uncommon for Africans to sell other Africans into slavery. Should we chase after them as well for reparations? Everyone is looking to blame someone for sins of the past. Why not just leave them in the past where they belong? Talks of reparations does nothing but further divide the country.

I don’t get the boner about felons. As if someone with a criminal record has just been dying to vote all these years. I would think 10-15% of this group voting would be a major turnout.

Call it both ways. Wingers care about their adherents' feelings, too. Psychologists are heavily involved in crafting message and presentation to create an enemy or threat to fear. Ailes' playbook was expertly crafted to keep the older wingers afraid of a new Boogeyman and distrustful of any other media source. Hannity has taken up his banner and is carrying it forward.

Shortly after announcing her candidacy in early January for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) campaigned in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

She excitedly posted a video of the “crowd” of supporters waiting to see her with the caption, “First event in Iowa, first overflow line in Iowa.”

The 4 second video was sped up and was on a continuous repeat, which made it appear that a large crowd had gathered for the rally.

One Twitter user, however, slowed down the video to “1/1024 speed” which told a very different story. (Slow video is directly below Warren’s original sped up version.)

Warren’s “overflow” line dwindled to around 85 people. Hmmm.

Funny and possibly ironic. but to play devils advocate there could still have been more people as this is only one video.
