I take it they use head to head record to figure out the 4 seed in the event of a five way tie at 10-8 (FL, MSU, USCe, TN, A&M)?
I almost wonder if being a 5 seed would require us to beat UK to get in the field. Wins over Ole Miss and Miss St not being good enough. Whereas a win over Auburn or LSU in the SECT would seal it.
Auburn twice or Auburn and LSU.Yea I brought up that point earlier
We need to beat Auburn twice or Kentucky again to get in with 3 more wins imo
If not we need to get to the finals.
I respect that but I am just not sure the virtually same NET rankings is the same as the buzz a win over Auburn would give the talking heads. I guess it boils down to how much “political” pressure the talking heads can influence the committeeI disagree. They’re only separated by 2 spots in the NET rankings.
Isn’t this assuming we just beat them in the regular season finale?I respect that but I am just not sure the virtually same NET rankings is the same as the buzz a win over Auburn would give the talking heads. Well...TAMU and MSU beat us this year. So obviously they hold the tie breaker. Then we split the series with SCjr .Now that the dust has settled from the midweek games, does anyone know what needs to happen for best seed for us on Saturday. For example, where would we sort out on a 3 way tie with Mississippi state and texas A&M for the 6th seed? What about a 4 way tie for the 6th seed with Mississippi State, Texas A&M, and South Carolina? Trying to figure out what to root for on Saturday. Obviously easiest route to a 7 is a win and an A&M loss.
