Welp, I have read a book or two about that time period and it seems to be unanimous, great baseball player and a tough SOB, I take things for what they’re worth, he wasn’t real likable, IMO.

If you watch the Baseball documentary series by Ken Burns, they talk about how few of his baseball contemporaries came to his funeral. He was not likeable.

I'd like to point out we still have lots of baseball going on. All of this movie/book talk should be reserved for the offseason
