I knew the moment Cash brought in McClanhan on 3 days rest, having never thrown in relief before, we were about to have a big inning.

Asking a starter to do that on this stage for the first time is asking a hell of a damn lot.
 
Two nights in a row that Alex Cora makes the same exact dumb decision in the 8th up two runs. Whitlock should have started that inning.
 
Diaz will get blamed for the throw but Choi not fielding that ball was horrific. 50 first baseman make that play. Terrible positioning

I mean pitching to the hottest hitter didn't work out. Would have rather a force out possibility at home

It’s not cut and dry especially with the force out situation but Devers is better than Hernandez, “hot hand” or not. I’ll take my chances with Hernandez. Had Choi made a play 98% of players could have made it wouldnt have matter.
