2022 CFP National Championship Game Thread: UGA -vs- Alabama

time to geek out

Ga and Bama bands: if you have 3.5 weeks to prepare for playoffs and a NC game, do more than stand on the field and play. You know march. Its part of you name ".....marching band". Pathetic. Guess you forgot your job is to entertain

If Kirby Smart can’t beat THIS Alabama team this half , he’ll never beat them. They’ve lost practically everyone but Young on offense.

It seems stupid, but since the decision to play Bennett kind of defies logic I wonder if Kirby plays Stetson because he's a redneck Georgia boy who likes to hunt and fish like himself - more rapport/trust with him than Daniels, and the different in level of play isn't dramatic enough to get him to change his mind.
Yeah Kirby has shown he favors that small town GA boy with a background like him. He did it with Fromm over Eason and Fields.

I keep hearing that, and it would be very stupid. Put in the best player period. Who knows though.

The decision to play Fromm over Fields is more justifiable than playing Bennett over Daniels, but I think that probably played a role there as well.

If that really is the case, they deserve it if they lose.

The good ole boy system is what got Fromm the nod too. Ask Dr Lou

The first time I heard it, I laughed it off as stupid fan talk, but the longer time goes on and he keeps playing Bennett it's the only explanation I can come up with.

UGA's defense was so good this year that the decision to play the worse QB actually hasn't cost him a game, which is probably why he's still playing. They went undefeated in the regular season, and Bennett wasn't the reason they lost to Alabama in the SECCG but playing him guaranteed they weren't going to come back from behind.
