I think we need to win the bowl game.
2003 looked like a really great season until we lost bowl game to Clemson. 2006 was also like that until we lost bowl game to Penn State. Winning the bowl game would make up for the collapse against South Carolina.
I highly agree.
I have no desire for the Volunteers to have another great regular season because they won 10 games, except they lost the Bowl Game they played in which is like a disappointing climax or a boring Climax in a movie.
This place never ceases to amaze me.
10 & 2 Beat Bama, Beat Gators, Beat LSU @ LSU..............but yet some of y'all will never be happy.
I agree it’s been a GOOD year and looking good for the future of this team. I’m happy with 10 wins. But I also agree that if we lose our bowl game, it’s stinks to close a year on a loss. And it also means the great start ends with a 2-3 finish. Regardless of the good wins, losing 3 of our last 5 is NOT a “happy” ending.I mean it is still a good season in comparison to last 10 years or so but a lose in the bowl game likely knocks us out of the AP top ten like it did in 2003.
Yep … we should have waited until we were favored by 20+ points … oh wait … ! Well maybe we can try them next time we play Georgia State! Seriously, I agree with you. Just no way to expect that kind of loss to SC at that point in time.I love the Orange helmets.
We should have debuted them with a certain win.
Now they are associated with one of our most damaging losses.
They should be used as a road uniform with white tops and orange pants.
I hope that happens next year.
