Depends on who submitted what kind of regional bids, to an extent; if only one team submitted a bid, they'll get it unless there are extenuating circumstances. Texas State is higher ranked and would be coming out of the stronger regional, of course, but there's a nice ballpark in Hartford that's unoccupied this coming weekend and it'd help the NCAA with their goal of having games hosted outside of the traditional footprint.
If UConn can only bid for their tiny home park, though, the regional will undoubtedly be in San Marcos.
