2022 Recruits

the ranking not as important as the possible effect on other recruits recognizing the upward recruiting of the LVs - she represents. the LVs are still a "be-tweener" level Nationally.

seems like a pretty good day at the office to me and her team won a ship 🤩

I wonder if she will move in the rankings playing on a good team and producing so far this summer when healthy

Volfan, we are witnessing the rebirth of the Lady Vol legend and dominance that we have all missed for so very long...

The magnificent members of our 2021 recruiting class are the heralds of what is to come....Victory will once again be dressed in Lady Vol Orange and White, with just a touch of Baby Blue....

As Justine puts the crippling effects of the Covid disease behind her, she will be the dominate wing prospect of the 2022 class...Many will desire her for their team, but she loves Coach Kellie and Tennessee.....Her legend will grow and grow...The girl with the flying ponytail just hit another long 3 ball...And the masses were so amazed.

Perhaps coach Kellie is thinking...
"Upon this magnificent shooter/scorer, we can dominate again"

well to a certain extent. Top level players want to play with other top level players so if Kellie is producing “top” lace classes you would think that would matter. What produces top level classes is … their rankings.

Now we saw Holly bring in top level players and not win so at the end of the day you gotta win. Look at Vic at MSU and how winning attracted top level players.

So while rankings aren’t the end all be all all they are part of the winning recipe moving forward to getting other top notch recruits.

what do you mean?

Justine is working on other aspects of her game and it shows,,,her defensive footwork on the perimeter is much better and her boxouts are right on time,,like all players she will constantly have an area to address, and I believe after seeing her improvement in the areas mentioned,,,she will

I almost posted earlier that as good as she already is, she still has a lot of untapped potential. And I think Kellie will get it out of her so that she will fill a stat sheet more evenly.

A tall guard will have problems with defensive footwork so it is good she is firming that up. But in the same way that shorter, faster guards can pose a match-up problem for her, she needs to be able to pose a match-up problem for them by being able to post them up, draw fouls, pass or shoot over them etc... If we can isolate her down low on a typical guard she should be able to take their lunch money. And if they switch and put a post on her then she can take them outside and shoot the three or free up our posts. She will really force the opposing coach to make some difficult choices depending on how we use her, and whether she continues to develop.

We are kind of setting ourselves up to be short on slashers though. Rae and Horston will be around a bit longer, and Kaiya should be good at that, but after the first two graduate there just aren't many on the upcoming teams who will be good at that. Miles or Puckett will need to be able to help in that regard so it will be interesting to see if that is an efficient part of their games where they can get to the basket quickly and finish at a high rate.

I agree we need those aggressive off the bounce type players. I think Holly’s teams had those but they never really developed shots to mix it up and it caused charge after charge after offensive charge. There needs to be a balance. As far as this year i’m interested in seeing how if Jordan Walker gets to the basket more while making her jump shot a threat and will Jordan Horston be a more consistent shooter (i think she could have a deadly mid range pull up).

Good news for the Lady Vols on the KK Bransford front according to Boneyarder nuna23;

kk bransford in her live now ,I asked her if she's gonna be a uconn huskies her friend said no she's not and another say ND she say no but e ignore the question about Louisville"

Evidently Tennessee is still in play for a top flight combo guard

did KK say TN is in the mix or was it assumed?

I know a certain Mystics fan on here is gonna like this pic of Saniah Tyler

Got the pic with the Stics🤩 … i’m always torn when we play Parker😫 I always want the win but I want her to do well. It is especially weird cheering for Charles (who is KILLING it) since she has always been the enemy til now 🤣

Tyler is also on team BEAL (who has been committed to the Wiz)! Not a bad day in the office. She seems really committed to going to the next level.

This was such a good game! Thanks for posting this 😉 (i also know @mlindsay is a Stics fan too)

This will get a ton of hate and I want to say it’s just an observation. When Justine takes her 3 pt. shots, she starts the shot at a very low point, and almost always takes a half step/hop backwards at release landing in a somewhat angled (always right hip facing rim) posture. Anyone else notice this and is that something the coaches leave alone? I’m thinking at a minimum they get her to start the shot from a higher spot.

It’s just an observation and i’ve noticed it. Just depends on the approach the coaches take. They may leave it alone if she can get it off and it continues to go in. I’m sure some adjustments will have to be made because of the speed of the game and length of other players. but if she keeps bombing and making it from the parking lot i don’t know what to tell ya🤣

Michael Jordan updated the old "B.A.S.E." THEORY

alignment of the hip, knee and elbow is the new philosophy and I concur with it
this video describes it pretty good

Re the bringing down of the ball, for distance shooting if you have time to bring the ball to the "shot pocket",,,it is kinda like cocking a gun before you shoot it for most shooters. It is a rhythm thing. Her release is from a good high point as it should be.

The only time I deter a shot-pocket in shooting is a put-back or touch-shot (fade-away, floater, etc)

If she belly'shot, I would be in your corner, but to use a shot-pocket, is perfectly acceptable
