2022 Recruits

What is a recruiting win? When people say this i’m wondering what quantifies a win exactly? Not picking just interested in different perspectives… I know she isn’t top 10 but considering we need outside shooting i would consider Justine a win and a piece to the puzzle. I think I just want more LOL

Would Sa’Myah Smith be a win? Talaysia Cooper?
Yes and anyone left on our recruiting offers would be a win. Every player left on that list is an elite player.

Shhh don’t tell the poster that… 🤣. But I get it most of us are anxious for another commit.

Would you consider Saniah Tyler a recruiting win even though she might be as talked about ?

Saniah Tyler is an elite player that led her team to a state Championship in Missouri and were undefeated. The reason she is not rated higher is that she does not score that much around 13 a game as she is content to set up other players to score. When she needs to score she can take over a game at the end and has done so many times throughout her high school career. Her scoring efficiency is very high she is not a volume shooter. She had some elite scorers on her team last season expect she will have to score more as a senior.

I love this. Another poster mentioned her injury. Does she seem completely healed

We desperately need a great guard in 22. When Rae leaves, we have to have the ability to beat people off the dribble even if we have shooters on the perimeter such as Pissott. And Horsten would only be around one more year at most.

Okay but every year has someone new stepping up and becoming a major factor. Last year it was Rae. I expect this year it will be Tamari, Jordan and one of the freshmen. Everyone seems to be improving the longer they are in Kellies system.

I've said several times before that I believe this seasons team will be Kellie's best offensive team. We may win about the same amount of games because of our tough schedule. This will be the first time we have five starters that are backed up by quality depth. I think up to ten deep players on this years team will be fairly equal that hasn't been the case in Kellie's first two seasons.

That's nice, but none of them are the program-changing caliber of player that Barker is. Not even close...

Why u sounding as if TN didn't get her life is over for them. If coach gets closer to her caliber yes...Wat rank was Howard from Kentucky? Did she ranked #2? Compare her to everyone that ranked above her.

Or how about Naz Hillman from Michigan rated number 58 out of high school and on multiple first and 2nd team all American teams.

I agree Barker is a program-changing caliber of player, But to say that none of them left are not even close to being that type of player ? I disagree 6-3 Ashlyn Watkins is that good had a chance to see her play. If you have not seen her play yet then you should she is that good.

Exactly. Fans always cry when they don't get #1-5...players.... from #10 through #30 we good. Look at wnba all the top pick none of them are playing good.

Watkins like djtee says is certainly on her level. Smith is a player that could develop to her level an injury where she sat out a season set her back a little but she is back this season full force. So those two are still on the board but doubt we get either one even though Smith has us in her top five Baylor is less than 100 miles from her. Watkins lives in Columbia. Those are the post players that are left so I will agree not looking good for anyone this time. Perimeter players love Latson, Whiitehorn, and Bransford. Anyone of those three would be a huge pickup.

Cool. Maybe Tennessee will make her top 5...

Maybe Barker will decide to sign with Tennessee after all. Releasing a "Top Five" is not a final decision. It wouldn't endear her to the spurned programs, but they would just have to deal with the disappointment.

6-4 Tabitha Amanze Would be a very good post player behind Key, She is a Beast can pretty much go anywhere. ND is really making a push for her.

About the only way that happens is via transfer if being realistic.
