I think this is the total of the players left that we know about having an offer. All are very good to exceptional players. Johnson would need some coaching far from team oriented right now with her game.

This is the 16 year old game not the one Justine will be playing in she is in the 17U game. The 17's have won all their games and are in the Platinum title division. They play at 5 pm edt tomorrow

Johnson 20 of 62 from the field, 5 of 23 from the three, 20 of 32 free throw line. Ruby Whitehorn 32 of 67 from the field, 0 of 5 from the three, 6 of 10 from the free throw line. Commit Justine Pissott 12 of 34 from the field, 7 of 21 three point shooting, 5 of 6 free throw line.

Don’t forget to add Ashlyn Shade in the 2023 thread she has been pretty efficient.

I don’t know if we should even pay attention to Johnson

I know her but I stay away from 2023 as that is a long way off unless they are going to reclassify for 2022 which I don't think any of them are.

I heard a few people say a couple months ago that this class would only be three max unless we got some commits from topnotch players to the extent that we went over three because of that reason. The reason that was given is because we were saving one scholly for the portal. As far as us taking someone that is not on the board that is always a possibility because of the new Assistants maybe having connections that the others didn't have.

I wish Kellie and her Assistants were more like Barnes he finds out which players are capable of reclassifying and then goes out and convinces them to do so. Shade would be a nice place to start if she was qualified to do so.

I also would take justine with this years class 😖 would give them players that could play 1-5

I agree on Johnson I haven't been impressed with her game. I think the team she is playing on would be a lot better if she wasn't on it. I know that is a harsh thing to say, but wow some of the shots she takes are pitiful. If I was her coach she would be sitting on the bench. She on to many possessions refuses to pass to the open man. Her shot selection is very poor. With her you would have to create a different mindset and also would need a lot of work on her shooting skills. She gets to the line a lot doesn't shoot a high enough percentage for a guard.

I so agree my friend.....

Put Justine with this class and we are talking, at minimum, an elite 8 come NCAA time....As time goes by she is going to improve a great deal...Her shot will always be primo, but like all young ones, there is things to learn.

Along with Justine, Striplin is the other player I have been waiting to see in a LV uniform....Her time is at hand, and by the practice videos I have seen of her, she is more than even I had hoped for...

Coach Kellie is doing her best to put five scorers on the floor at all times...In today's game, that is "the only winning formula."

just watched Madi hawk's team lose. I don't think her coach was happy with her quick shooting the three ball as soon as he put her in in the 1st half. She hardly got any time on the court after that. not a very good game ref wise!

I recognize as a recruitment watcher my n is like the hiring process: the job description of skills needed and ability to work in a team atmosphere. The resume is based on abilities on the court, recommendtions from associates and coaches, social media presenation. Then as in employment an interview is scheduled with the applicant, the conversation with the bosses and team members, the review of the worksite. The player/interviewee then has to decide if she can or will agree to the offer. and yes there a quasi-group similar to headhunters , much more evident in men's recruiting, providing guidance.

Summary for me - until the player agrees to an interview with the Lady Vols the known process is a combination of enhanced social media for 17 year olds and other "experts" but not the unknowns of our coaches re interests and possibilities.

I watched the game also
Madi took the right shots and that is what she does is shoot. He has another kid on that team that jacks up 3s everytime she touches the ball so that doesn't make sense why madi got no time. She in my opinion is a better defender than the other shooter #21 and takes better shot selections but like I said #21 took maybe 9 shots and he didn't take away her time. It was weird if you ask me. He had kids in the game that definitely shouldn't have been in over madi and others his lineups are wack. At one time he had 0 SG in the, he had a post/forward at the wing and she can't shoot to save her life. He had 2 PG in and the best post on the bench when the game was on the line. I think it was lost bc of coaching and decision making. Madi hit 1 3 I saw and missed a couple and didn't play much after that.
