What I would like to see is a top ten post player join this class and at least a top twenty wing player. Smith who has us in her top five is rated number 18 by Blue Star so she would be great addition and then any top ten player that is offensively strong.

I agree...It would be an "added bonus" to have a big, tall, strong post player in this class....She would give that inside defensive presence, that most championship teams need, to turn away the inside opposition....

This, so far unnamed girl, may come from another continent, if someone does not commit to the LVs from the Continental United States...

Guys, the hazy shifting shapes of what is to come, has taken visual form in my forward looking mind....Those five ladies, working as one unit, could not be stopped... I guarantee it.

Each players strength would compliment the other four players...Justine, at the top of the key, could faint a deep shot and then she could make a lob pass to a cutting Karoline, or Sara, to the basket for an all too an easy two.

Same scenario, but the defense is now cautious to come out to stop her, so she pops a 27 footer for a crowd pleasing three....The following applause is deafening as the crowd goes wild...

Another scenario....Justine sets a pick at the top of the key....Little Brooklyn dribbles right and the passes off to Justine on a pick and roll, which gives her an option to score, or pass to a posted up Karoline, or kick it out to a waiting Sara at the Justine line.

Guys, I tell you sincerely, great happenings are headed our way...

Coach the smile on your face is priceless.....It's easy to see you guys are very proud of each other.....This is so VERY GOOD!!!!!

When little Madi commits, I have no doubt that Uncle Jumper will be very near.....Every time little Madi scores for the Lady Vols, you have to get some credit....Well played Coach, well played!!!!

She's a good kid. I introduced her to some people out there and there was also some people who recognized her.,,She beamed. . . Her mom was with us too.

Just a basketball play. They were both going for the board and she’s actually the one who flung herself to the floor from what I can see. They were inadvertently hooked Weathers tried to stand lifting the other player off the ground and putting all her weight on Karly. Nothing about that looked intentional. Tough play but if anything it was a common foul. At the next level that’s a “play on” moment. We see this all the time in the SEC.


Make that wide open layup and that play never happens. That’s what my coach would have been telling me.

i watched it and it didn’t look like the player locked her arm around her head she was shaking it loose. Now, she could have just extended her arm but if you watch til the end the arm doesn’t tense up to me to put her in a choke hold.

But i could also see if they called it too. Just glad no one seemed to get hurt.

Not a flagrant foul, but one hell of a foul...
Even though Karly ended up on the floor, I like her spirit. Damn, she would be great with Justine...

Is Karly a LV lean? Has she been offered. She's got a beast mode gear, I like that!

After watching the LV/Uconn game, it was evident we needed another shooter on the floor....Karly could be that girl.

There was a piece about her in the Tennessean yesterday. It won't let me post the article here, but here is the pertinent part, notable because of who isn't included among the offers:

"Weathers now is not only a standout on the Lady Mustangs roster, receiving offers from Alabama, Belmont, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Kentucky MTSU, Vanderbilt and others, she also has become the leader for the program vying for a third straight state tournament run."

So looks like we do not have an offer out now to Weathers? That’s what one poster said a while back with all the potential players coming back due to Covid.

The WBB blog says we do have an offer for Weathers outstanding. So up to anyone who they believe a poster here or the WBB Blog person who has been right a huge percentage of the time. Second doesn't matter how many players come back teams are allowed to go over the 15 total scholarships next season.

We need to be in with players baylor, uconn,stanford are after...not belmont,mtsu and vandy.
