Yeah, that's why I thought it might be non-conference. Tennessee and Vanderbilt should do that. Tennessee and Arkansas would've been cool this year.
the key is to have a neutral site halfway in-between the 2 schools with a fairly short driving distance, venue typically needs to be a minor league park or some other special facilty

Just do it in Nashville at First Tennessee Park. Yes, it's in Vanderbilt's home city, but we know Nashville has far more Tennessee fans than Vanderbilt fans.

Hope they can take at least 1 from Georgia. Two would be great, because I think we’ll drop at least 1 to Auburn.

LSU will need a great series to get 2. The Vols would help several West teams by sweeping the Barn but the Barn is good enough to get a game W but not good enough for a series W.

We have a 6 game lead over the pups, with twelve left to play. So our magic number for clinching the east is 7 (8 to clinch the SEC). I'd be willing to bet a big number that we will get at least 7 wins in the next twelve, so not worried about these dogs. I'm hoping Ole Miss can take at least one from Arky, and if we take 2 from Auby, that reduces our magic number there from 8 to five with 9 to go. At that point, we'll be close enough to smell the SEC championship.

I've never understood the east and west thing in baseball. It is not considered in any format is it other than the fact that you play those teams every year and rotate among the opposite side. Looks like if they were going to use the east and west thing then Hoover would be two pools and the winner of the east would play the winner of the west for the conference championship. Otherwise it is unwarranted.

It is funny looking back we thought the early part of our schedule was brutal. Now Vandy may still pull it together but Mississippi and Vanderbilt were no where as good as we thought.

Now Tennessee is an awesome team; but to win 6 games on road against those two teams is unreal and took some participation on both sides. The rebels are mediocre- at best, and their players, coaches and fans are rather "soft". And to be fair, they always have been. That's why their program has little post season success and very few CWS appearances. Bad luck should have given us at least 1 loss. Bad play by other teams made up for that.

Agree about Ole Miss. But I think Vandy is better than their record, maybe much better. They have a lot of talent, and could start putting it together at any time. I wouldn't sleep on them.

I don’t think there is any real distinction between East and West other than scheduling in baseball which is odd. It doesn’t impact Hoover seeding, that is based on conference record and tiebreakers as a whole. And “division” titles are kind of a thing but not really a thing. It’s definitely odd.

Ole Miss with a big W last night against the piggies. Get another.

Piggies have gone 1-3 in their last 4 conference games. LSU 1 GB with last night's W. I see no reason to pull for Georgia, so go 🐅.
