Tennessee currently has North Carolina forward
De’Ante Green on campus as an official visitor. Tennessee seems deep in this one, but at this point it’s not entirely clear that he would be a take if things fall the way the Vols want at the top of their board. That’s not a knock on Green who is a top-150 prospect, just a reflection of the level the Vols are recruiting at right now.
Now, things could absolutely change by the time November rolls around, but the buzz we’re hearing right now suggests that the Vols are in good shape with
Cason Wallace,
B.J. Edwards,
Dillon Mitchell (who will be on campus next week with Edwards for an official visit),
Brandon Miller and they’re definitely in the mix for
Jalen Hood-Schifino who visited last week. Some we’ve spoken with think it will come down to Georgetown and Tennessee for Hood-Schifino.
How many would the Vols be willing to take in the fall? I would guess four if Miller were ready to decide which I’m not sure he will be. If he’s holding off until the spring I would guess Tennessee takes three. Again though, a lot could happen in four months and change.
One prospect who the Vols are involved with and we expect them to get a visit from in the fall who has yet to be on campus is French big man Y
ohan Traore. Obviously, the Vols have had some recent success in recruiting French prospects.
