2022 TN Forward Brandon Huntley-Hatfield

I’d tell Tamba to stay in hs and grab10+ rebounds and 3+ blocks a game next season or there’s not a spot for him at UT. JMO
Here’s the deal, we want Jaden Springer, BHH, BJ Edwards, Blue Cain, Jasheem Felton etc...we may have to take a guy every now and again who isn’t quite as highly thought of to continue that trend.

Not like he’s a bad guard either. If we are taking risks then I’d rather it be a 7 footer that recently just got into bball.

Sometimes you just gotta come out and say it, dontcha?

New Jerry Meyer 247 article just popped up:

Tennessee had a large void to fill in its front court after the 2020-2021 season ended. Presently it is looking quite good on that front for the Vols. Rick Barnes secured a commitment from 2021 four-star big man Jonas Aidoo and the Crystal Ball is predicting 2022 top 10 prospect Brandon Huntley-Hatfield to become a Volunteer.

Huntley-Hatfield, a 6-9 power forward out of Scotland (Pa.) Campus High School, is expected to announce his college decision on Thursday. Five out of six of his Crystal Ball predictions are for Tennessee and three of those picks have a high confidence rating. I predicted Tennessee back on March 5. The four other Tennessee predictions have rolled in this week.

Sweetening the pot for Tennessee even more is that Huntley-Hatfield is expected to reclassify up into the 2021 class. The Vols already sit at No. 8 in the 247Sports Composite Team Rankings for 2021. Based on the Class Calculator, a commitment by Huntley-Hatfield would move Tennessee to No. 2 if Huntley-Hatfield's 2021 ranking were to match is current 2022 ranking of No. 6 in the 247Sports Composite.
Huntley-Hatfield is a physical specimen as a power forward who also brings a lot of skill to the court. I have compared him to Julius Randle of the New York Knicks. His physique and game also brings Naz Reid of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

I would think that the Aidoo commit helps BHH feel better about committing to UT, because he won't fear Barnes asking him to play the 5 as much if we have Aidoo. I've read that he doesn't want to play the five much, wants to be a four. And I would think having both of them will help Fulky to feel good about coming back, because he won't have to play thirty seven minutes at the 5, and shoulder all the scoring load in the post next year, like he did in the past. He will have real reinforcements now. All of this looks to me like a best case scenario adding up.

Grant Ramney said he saw Jerry Meyer say that he would be top 10 fwiw
I’m down for that. I was just guessing since they usually don’t rank younger players higher or around the same unless it’s like a generational talent.

Not that it matters cause the kid is good, but I wonder if he is THAT good or if the 2021 class is bad, or both. Lol

Found the quote

“We will decide as a team led by Eric Bossi if it happens. I would assume he would be in lower part of top 10”
