It was a good week for Illinois. Beating FAU and challenging Tennessee on the road leading at the half. Nothing wrong with those results at all.I forgot about them beating FAU. Still a pretty nice jump going 1-1. They're certainly worthy of that ranking. They're long and athletic and can fill it up
All rankings updated. Big move into the top 10 for us in all rankings (except Haslam, wtf). It's been 5 years since our historic season and Sweet Sixteen run with Williams, Schofield, Bone, Turner, and Bowden.
Some of you may remember I did a tracker for our AP Poll ranking that year. We spent 4 weeks at #1, and the entire season in the top 10.
Let's run it back this year.

Fade or typically had a tough bacended conference schedule and 7 or 8 out of 9 years had a key player out with and injury at the worst time.It seems we are working on learning how to play together. This team has big potential and I am excited to watch it unfold. Recently we have started well and fade when it matters most, in the NCAA tournament. Maybe this year will go the other way around.
Is Haslam algorithmic?Probably would make sense to drop Haarlem from the equation since they are such an extreme outlier. That would make our average at #7 which seems fair at this point.
Updated. Up to #5 in AP, and most analytical rankings have us settling out around 6-7.It's been 5 years since our historic season and Sweet Sixteen run with Williams, Schofield, Bone, Turner, and Bowden.
