2024 Presidential Race

I turned to MSNBC to see their reaction. The moment she started mentioning how she had been dumped by media lies about Trump, the hosts turned her off and immediately began ridiculing her personality and background. Reid even played the race card against her.

You can always gauge the desperation of the most rabid liberals by the amping up of constant, hysterical laughter. There's a direct correlation. Saw it in 2016 when the Trump win shocked the world. MSNBC crowd and guests spent their time mocking and insulting the electorate amidst much merriment.

Absolutely. That is exactly what I said yesterday, what else does he have?

-> everyone thinks he is unfit or has dementia or similar degenerative condition
-> his own party wants him replaced based on poll data
-> doesn't even know what his own goals are

Orange Man bad is all there is.

Look. Here's the deal. Come'on man. Let me be clear. Anyway.

Since it has been repeated many times that politicians lie but Trump lies more and more severely, how do you (we) accept any politician's answere with belief given the commonality of untruth?

Personally, there is no Q & A i could watch from Joe, Don, Kam, or JD which would activate my belief in their answers. And, this extends to all politicians.

As I approach my mid 50s, I have to admit I've been heard more partisan platitudes than I have serious substance.

We all know that if Trump answered that question with a full hearted "I would destroy Russia and Putin if they attacked Poland" LG would be here saying he lied.

Invocation of the Hitler reference will forever backfire on you given Trump's choice of running mate. Time to find another label to assign to Dems as the worst ever.
Cry harder. I can't help it if your lame choice is a racist & a diaper wearing loser.
Biden's own VP called him a racist once. She changed her tune once chosen as his VP.

Likely.

But he refused to even imagine Trump answering in a way that he agreed with. And he hasn't come back to the convo even though he is posting. It seems to me the demand for question and forcing an answer wasn't genuine.

My questions were genuine. I don't know why any of us believe what the politicians say. The track record of follow through has got to be abysmal.

I don't know much about him now, but I did read Hillbilly Elegy some years ago. I hated it, FWIW. I'm evidently the only one. Everybody else loves it. I felt like he was very wrong about the way he viewed his family, the lessons he took from that, and the way he chose to filter to the topics he put in this book. My take is, his mother is from a very stupid and evil family. He managed to be somewhat different, but he chose to ignore in the book the process of becoming different. It's only about being stupid and evil.

Personally, I don't really associate stupid and evil families particularly with appalachia. I definitely have met people who do. I just think these people are pretty toxic and I stay away from 'em.

That said, he might be a great president somebody. I didn't even realize he was in politics. I think trump is stupid and I have it good authority he's a cheater and a liar, but I also think he would do a lot of the same things I would do if I were president. He's a strange mix. I always say his biggest problem is he acts like Donald Trump.

Has LG ever been genuine in his concerns?

He’ll destroy Harris in debate, (as would just about anyone with an IQ above that of a head of cabbage) but the question is ... does anybody really care? Is the VP debate going to have a enough bearing to swing votes away from your opponent to you? I just don’t see it.
Considering the possibility that the VP on either side may end up being President the next four years, I suspect some may be paying attention.

He vacillates. There are times he is willing to have a forthright and fruitful discussion.

...and then there's the "making heads explode" side of LG. FYI, that phrase has nothing to do with recent events, it was a post made several years ago by LG explaining why he posts here.

The rolling of eyes is not usually indicative of an imminent cranial event.
