I think he'd be a better candidate than Kamala. I've seen all the polls, from state-level to national and enthusiasm/voter likelihood considered, but I am heavily convinced that Kamala's gap closure is attributed to a fleeting jubilation regarding Joe's departure from the race as opposed to genuine thrill regarding her as a candidate. Pete would probably have garnered similar benefits in early polling and is someone who could actually gain from here on out.

That being said, a Kamala/Pete ticket is a one-way fare to a Trump victory so no one is going to press that.
