2024 Presidential Race

Trump definitely has problems, but to be fair he wasn't just competing against Biden and he isn't just competing against Kamala. Almost the entirety of the mainstream media is trying to get him to lose and working to portray Kamala in the absolute best possible light while dumping trash on her opposition. That would be hard for any normal candidate to overcome.
If Trump from the debate shows back up and stays until the election, I think he can win fairly comfortable. But attacking Kamala on identity politics and he is going to lose hard.

going hard on the policy stuff is going to appeal to the "never trumper" Rs, and independents. and even some D's who think Kamala leans to far and remembers how bad of a candidate she is.

attacking her race is only going to appeal to his base, and alienate even more people that he had made progress with before, women and minorities.

its what lost him 2020. stick to policy and he will win. the economy is crap and its easy to lay at the feet of the Dems right now. The D's have nothing much to fire back with that is going to help with the middle 30%.

Yet it’s still a toss up because Republican voters are hooked on a failed candidate, and the party was too stubborn to line up behind one candidate to keep Trump from getting the nomination. Anyone but Trump wins this election in a blowout.

Yeah but any of the candidates running in 2016 would have pushed the same policies Hillary was going to push, plus they would have lost.

Joe Scarborough Says Tim Walz Brings Lack Of Political Balance To Harris Ticket

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough said on Tuesday that Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz does not bring political balance to the Democratic ticket because he is as progressive as Vice President Kamala Harris.

“It seems that progressives love Walz, he is a progressive,” Scarborough said. “There wouldn’t be a lot of ideological balance there between Kamala Harris and Governor Walz … you would have two people viewed as progressives inside the Democratic Party instead of an ideological mix like you might have with Shapiro. Is this the whole idea that they’re going to excite the base and this is gonna be a base election? They don’t care who moderates in Pennsylvania or other states think?”

😄

Trump isn't the best candidate by far but people voting D need to wake up. To me, voting for Trump is more of a middle finger to them than anything. We need both parties to get back to discussing actual policies and caring for this nation rather than fighting over stupid stuff like what race Kamala is.
Agree with the last part of your statement. The media is complicit here. They ask the questions and both Trum/Vance answer it. You may not like their answer but THEY ANSWER IT. On the other hand, there are no questions ask of Harris.

The problem is that if everyone gave them a collective FU by voting for Trump this election (even if it really wasn't for Trump or his policies but to send a message), it would wake the media and Democrats up. Can you imagine the meltdown if Trump won a state like California or New York?

I put my bias aside, and wanted to look at the race from new eyes. So, I thought logically I could go to any of the candidates’ websites and see their views and plans. I go to Harris’ and there is absolutely zero about their policies or stances. Just an about me and one for Waltz. Strange, but then again I’ve not really heard her speak since accepting the nomination. I go to Trump’s website next. It has clear, easy to find, relatively easy to understand stances/policies he would like to enforce. Then I go to RFK’s website, and it’s laid out like Trump’s. I can see how he thinks, and his answers to those issues.

My question is, how could anyone vote for someone that can’t even tell you where or what they stand for. What types of approaches they will have if elected. That seems relatively important to me.

This is because you are a reasonable person that actually investigates something instead of letting pride or other factors to allow you to make an uninformed vote.

They say it worked in 2020.

I really hope the media takes and stance and demands answers. Unfortunately, I have my doubts.

Check out Chase Oliver’s campaign website.

All of his positions are clearly defined.

I'll play Devil's advocate. Most of Trump's pledges contradict each other.

For example, he talks about reducing regulations, then goes on to list several new regulations.

He talks about "state's choice" then goes on to federalize state's responsibilities.

He talks about lowering inflation but mentions large amounts of additional spending.

He mentioms uniting people and then several about tearing people apart.

Some are just talking points that he has no intention of fixing as evidenced by his first term

I know more about where Walz and Kamala stand than I do Trump. Walz and Kamala are tax and spend liberals....

Dont get it twisted. Trump doesn't give AF about the country. He's literally giddy when bad things happen to America because he might be able to use it to his own selfish aims. He'd use the treasury as his piggy bank if allowed and will take bribes from and sell secrets to foreign governments. Love of Trump is neglect of country, period.
You're a ***** fool if you think Biden and the dems aren't in bed with Ukraine and china

holy crap you are right. there is literally nothing on their actual policies.

and their first FAQ is telling people that their campaign donations to Biden automatically rolled over to Harris. how is that not straight up fraud? I could understand some opt-in option to have it flipped, but seems disingenuous AF to just give Biden's donations to Harris.

"I donated to Biden for President Campaign or the Biden Victory Fund – what happens to my donation now?
As President Biden’s running mate, Vice President Harris will be taking over the Biden campaign and all funds will go to the same committees, which are now named Harris for President and Harris Victory Fund. If you previously donated to President Biden’s campaign or have a recurring contribution to his campaign, you do not need to do anything to ensure your contribution goes to Vice President Harris’ campaign. If you have maxed out to either entity, your maxed out status still applies. "

Provide proof during his first term of taking “bribes from and sell secrets to foreign governments”. Now Biden / Hunter ??????

I think picking Walz was a mistake but we’ll see. Personally I wanted them to pick Shapiro so I could watch Trump, Vance and the rest of the leg humpers lose their minds over having to run against a black woman and a Jew. It would have been a spectacle and I think Trump would have gone the rest of the way off the rails. Oh well, we’ll just have to be satisfied with his standard, everyday lunacy but that’s still entertaining. Absolutely worthless but entertaining.
