It amazes me how myopic this country is. Particularly during election years. The biggest qualification any candidate would need IMO is foreign policy chops ......... Or at least the ability to effectively communicate, compel and lead a room.
We need smart, sharp, intelligent people. There are some very large ominous challenges on the horizon. Russia is gaining influence despite our attempts to marginalize them. The middle east is on the brink, troubles in Europe, and emerging markets signaling they no longer favor the US.
All the result of poor leadership and the influence of our MIC keeping the conflicts on the burner to line their pockets.
And we're arguing which of these two horrible choices are better.......
When the world looks to someone to "lead the room" in crisis, they'll be looking elsewhere........ No doubt.
