Do you think if Trump had been handled in the media and by the Dems like Romney was; he/Trumpism in your mind would be at the same level of disagreeableness today?

basically, do you think we would always see Trump at this level, or has he gotten worse because of how he is treated? or something else?

I think his rhetoric increase has been a direct, but probably not 1:1, response to the reaction the Dems have given. I think if the media and dems had stuck to the typical responses Trump would be a lot calmer than he is today. I think a lot of the original rhetoric was solely directed at Hilary. Lock HER up. never mentioned her followers, or others. but then you have the FBI go after him, you have a couple whackos go after him. you have the entire establishment go after him. you have the media go after him. and most of was baseless. and now his anger/rhetoric is far more widespread than it would have been.

I don't really agree.
It was the Bannon/Stone/Manafort strategy from day one to portray the media as the enemy and declare war against it.
That was foundational to any possible success of trumpism.
