Ex-Mafioso ‘Sammy the Bull’ hails Trump as ‘gangster’ who Couldn’t Be Bribed: ‘He’s a tough guy’

He allegedly made The Don an offer he refused.

Notorious former mob hitman and turncoat Salvatore “Sammy the Bull” Gravano lauded former President Donald Trump as a “gangster” this week — and claimed he repeatedly tried and failed to grease his palm decades ago.

“You can’t bribe him. I know that as a kid growing up. I was in the mob, I tried to bribe him, never worked. Never, never worked. And it was beneficial to him, he just wouldn’t do it,” Gravano told his more than 600,000 YouTube subscribers.

“What’s on his mind is to straighten the country out. And I don’t care if it’s a man or a woman, whether they’re good-looking, ugly, skinny, fat, I don’t care about none of that — what color they are. I care about their policies. Trump is a businessman, his policies are great, he’s a tough guy,” Gravano said.

Congressman Cohen Expresses Concern at Suggestion Jeffrey Epstein had Compromising Photographs of Trump

on this we agree
This goes back to what we were talking about with @volfanhill the other night.

I think the embrace of own-side authoritarianism is evidence that you’re at least partially wrong about rhetoric.

IMO, the reason nobody cares if their side is authoritarian (and in many cases are actively lusting for it) is because they’ve been convinced it’s being used against the “evil” others. I don’t buy that the belief that the other side is evil is a natural consequence of either side’s policies. It’s the combined effect of rhetoric, cable news, and social media overwhelming critical thought about why people might (e.g.) want abortion or why people might oppose abortion.

as a crude example a Facebook friend posted a "you are garbage if you believe" list with such deep thoughts as "you want children to go to bed hungry at night".

obviously exactly 0 people (figuratively of course want that) but it's the equivalent of "you want violent immigrants to come into the country to rape your wife".

it's how we get Trump and Harris

I don't believe that either side is evil. In fact, it pisses me off when that accusation is made. The self righteousness is gross

Harris Campaign Tells Muslim interviewer he can't ask about Gaza, She Talks Up Bacon instead: 'Taken aback'

The Muslim influencer was reportedly told the Israel-Gaza war was off-limits in the interview

Kamala Harris' interview with a Muslim social media influencer never saw the light of day after the vice president refused to answer questions about Gaza but oddly gushed about bacon - a food religiously forbidden for Muslims.

Kareem Rahma, host of the popular "Subway Takes" which boasts almost a million combined followers on Instagram and TikTok, made the decision to scrap the interview with Harris, which was filmed over the summer, he told the New York Times.

Prior to the interview, Rahma was hoping to press Harris on policy, specifically the Biden administration's support for Israel amid the ongoing war in Gaza, which he opposes, per the Times. But, despite asking on three calls with her team and the Democratic National Committee, he was "rejected."

Instead, the campaign agreed that Harris would offer a "hot take" against people taking off their shoes on airplanes. The show's premise revolves around guests, some of them notable, defending an unpopular opinion or perspective.
