2024 Presidential Race

A little behind, but I saw where the Mass governor said they won’t assist with mass deportations. Said she will protect them.

How dumb do you have to be? Openly admitting you’re going to break the law is crazy.

There's a fix for that kind of special kind of stupidity. Ship all the detained and new illegals to MA. People tend to see the light when somebody else's problem becomes their own.

Another thought is that if the feds said TX couldn't enforce it's border with a fence, then how can another state be allowed to defy federal policy? Kinda guessing it has to do with TX being R while states like MA and CA are D - giving them a free hand to do as they wish.

This is the second result on Google. It's wikipedia's entry.

Annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation

In February and March 2014, Russia invaded the Crimean Peninsula, part of Ukraine, and then annexed it.

How can it "not be during Obama years"???

By daffynition; it's something like clueless revisionism. If repeated often enough, it becomes fact to the less discriminating.

Looks like some states are waiting for a miracle, but there are too many people looking in. Doesn't matter, though, CA and AZ aren't going to change the outcome; AZ doesn't have the clout; and CA's electoral votes are already wasted and aren't going to affect the outcome unless by some strange twist the count further damns the dems - not likely.
CA is seeing a shift.

That's exciting. Like a Cagney and Lacey reboot
I've seen some early scripts. The show will not have the usual straight forward flow of other crime dramas. As they solve cases, Cankles deletes emails inexplicably and Cackles is unable to communicate understandably with others.

It really adds to the suspense.

No joke I bet Scott Jennings really enjoys that. As astronomically frustrating as it may be I bet he really enjoys because they still don't get it. They are so out of touch with the every day American and they really don't want to understand them. Her comment on being a journalist is hilarious they are all mouthpieces for the Democratic party.

which is more scientifici: blindly trusting what people were telling you, or looking at the data and doing the math on the particle sizes involved?

yes it was. it was only the scientists that weren't clear. Fauci's own emails said from day one the masks weren't going to work. the science never changed, only your perception of it. you kept your head buried and refused to even acknowledge the actual data.

what's worse, is anyone who actually did any research on those they were listening to, you know a more scientific approach than blindly trusting their status, would have known Fauci's history. he already had a history of running social experiments to detriment of those he was supposedly helping while driving division within the nation with all of his lies during the AIDs scare. but you fell into the White Coat fallacy, no science involved.

it was never about harmony, it was about control. what is harmonious about telling people they can't go outside? What is harmonious in taking actions that drove up child suicide rates higher than their Covid deaths? what was harmonious about people losing their jobs, separating them from their loved ones, and threatening actions against them for noncompliance? anyone who applies the least bit of logic, a cornerstone of science, would know you are spouting as much BS now, as they were back then.

and instead of admitting you were wrong, moving on, and looking to correct past mistakes, you know the whole scientific process, you instead double down on being wrong back then.

My 2 cents worth on a couple of issues where I disagree with many fellow conservatives here. The term mask was inconsistently used. For example, an N-95 "mask" is a disposable respirator but generally called a mask. Not the same as a cloth bandanna by any stretch of the imagination. Also, according to most real science I've found, the covid virus exists on droplets and not free in space; it's the droplet size that matters not the virus size. Where it gets interesting is the consistently decreasing droplet size due to evaporation and how long the virus can live outside the body - viability of a virus without a host. You can't just say the virus size is too small for "masks" to be effective - more complex. A preventive measure may not be absolute, but even a 20% improvement is better than nothing. The CDC did a miserable job of educating the public. Trump's failing was he had to use what he inherited, and it was bad across the board due to years of bureaucratic mismanagement and cronyism.

The second is Ukraine and similar foreign policy. We don't need to be the world's policeman, but this isn't the past, so isolationism doesn't work. We operate at a different level from most countries - even the largest of the Europeans; that demands that sometimes we have to be involved in what a lot of people conveniently consider "regional skirmishes". The ability to project power for peers or near peers like Russia and China has everything to do with geography and resources. Gaining Ukraine's land, resources, and especially sea access is crucial for Russia to remain viable after losing the Soviet states - Ukraine is likely only one step in the process, too. There's the old saying "A stitch in time saves nine." Ukraine is where you nip Russian expansionism in the bud and minimize the threat.

Play stupid games win stupid prizes. The Democrats set the precedent by assigning special councils out of the DOJ to essentially go get Trump. You set it in weaponizing the DOJ on your political opponents and it is up to this administration to not use the precedent to come back at them but hold them account for what they were doing in plain sight.

I have a feeling the Republicans are going to be much more tame than how their Democrat counterparts were with Trump but they are going to make it seem like it's the darkest stuff they have ever seen.

Is there a mystery aspect where people who cross Cankles somehow meet their demise in inexplicable ways?

California still only has 57% of its vote count in and we are coming up on 3 days post election. At this rate they may not be done counting until next week.

If we see a drastic swing in the last 43% towards the Dems I would love to see Trump ask for a recount of the vote in the state just to be a smart a$$.

You ppl are amazing, you think every illegal here is "picking your crops"...... the left is just a bunch of racists mofo's.

Are you admitting you use illegals to pick your blackberries, it's illegal to do so and you're on an open board admitting it.... eVerify would like a word.

Most ppl of other countries come here legally to work and then go back home, I'm around and work with several and guess what they're not illegal. They come here work their ass off so you can enjoy your stressful life then leave and go back home to their families.... hard concept I know.
Never used illegals to do anything, and if you think only legal immigrants cut sugar cane, pick strawberries, okra, lettuce watermelon etc you are living in dream world. But hey your kids/grandkids can find employment down at the tomatoe farm
