I think this is it. It was still a pitched ball and the catcher coming forward interfered with the batter; even though he didn’t try to hit it but he COULD have.

It didn’t look like he touched the plate, but it did appear to me that his right foot could have been in front of the plate, which is apparently a part of this rule, although the broadcast didn’t agree.

I still don’t really understand. The announcers don’t seem to think he violated any rule. Irregardless, the fact that it’s not even reviewable is unbelievable. Just not a good way to win or lose a game. The rule needs to be looked at in the offseason.

I thought his right foot was in front of the plate. I also thought his back leg might have been touching the plate.
