how was the trip? curious to what the election result reaction was where you were

It was good. I got to see family I hadn’t seen in nearly 20 years. Regarding the election, the national press was pretty much apoplectic over the result, but that was to be expected. I spent most of my time in Bavaria, which is the most conservative part of Germany. The reaction around town was a bit muted, but I personally felt that many people there were happy with the result. I did have have a family member that called Trump America’s Silvio Berlusconi. That’s a comparison I hadn’t heard before but actually makes a lot of sense.
