Glad Nico is still nly a first year starter once. Like his chances to live up to his stars while still here.

BTW, on your roster, currently at 81, Bishop still a PWO? What is your expectation here?

Thanxxx

yes he is a walkon. Depends on what they do in the portal. Numbers are tight.. if they end up with a spot I would hope they give the kid one. Not sure what his NIL is but hopefully some rich guys are taking care of him..

For sure in state tuition and family travel savings make cost neutral NIL deals WAY easier to fund. Add 1 more and we offset the Pruitt penalty this year. That DW is tricky guy and can wink at SPYRE.

Hey there, hope I have made it plain I love your ROSTER, and not wanting to nit pick, BUT (there is always a but) my math says we have 40, not 39 FR projected. 24 newbies, 15 RS guys, and 1 transfer. Did I miscount, as that has been known to happen. This did not include our commit holdover. Guessing it is 39 + Jefferson. If Bru DOES return, and Bishop did get a schollie, we would be over 83 again. Have to shed 2-3 to get legal plus 1 for each additional desired new transfer. MY HEAD HURTS!

What say you?

Austin Price has reported that Bishop will be placed on scholarship for 2025.

I count 40 including Jefferson who I added.

Bru McCoy has no path whatsoever to return. He has no eligibility. Any reports that indicate he does are wrong.

I think Bishop only gets one if there is room.

Heupel likes his roster. He is being extremely selective in looking at portal players and only going after fits and needs. I know that what he feels are needs is much different than what many fans see as needs.

There is zero chance Heupel is satisfied and expects compete in 2025 and compete with our current returning RBs and WRs. Combined like 25 catches and 100 carries

we will see. Has not brought in very many portal players. there is always the spring.

Agree we need some experienced players.

40 freshman plus 14 sophomores is a very young roster.

I would give $1.25 to be a fly on the wall in that facility. I am with you in that the man has a plan. Guessing he has a short list to fill when the post spring window opens and a mix of ok and bad losses go out the door to make some room. The list and priorities may change based on those exits. But I think it will be a short list and we can pay a few well as long as the prices are good value. Won’t overpay or upset the rooms. Market prices could be a problem if competing with idiots or more desperate teams. Good money and leaked needs could incentivize some fits to fill the gaps this cycle. Gonna have to have patience as this plays out. Probably be embarrassed by some posters with their own agendas and timelines and assumed superior intellect to our staff.

First glance and it looks lime we lack a lot of experience, but a closer look shows

36 3rd year+ players

12 of them being 4th year, 4 5th year and 4 6th year guys.

21 second year guys.

Plenty of talented true freshmen and a handful of walk ons that provide decent depth.

A lot of guys are about to step up and it's underrated how great it is to have guys like Eason, Bailey and Charles back. We have benefitted greatly in the Heupel era, from these older players like them sticking around a while. Great having them help bridge the gap while our younger guys develop.
