2025 Recruiting

After watching the Hoophall classic, these players are committed to being great. We don’t just need 10 McD AA type players, what we need and have coming in is elite basketball players and great young people that are dedicated as well as coachable.
GBO!
I’ve decided to just focus on watching their senior seasons as they compete for State Championships and National Championships for the remainder of the season on the NFHS network app.
I’ll probably start back watching the LVs in the SEC tourney.
I hope the LVs can finish the regular season strong.
GBO!

I do agree with Winners as i posted just having a talented player doesn't guarantee anything if they have no desire to succeed as a team only thinking of Me. What i don't understand as a Lady Vol fan you are now tuning out because this team has holes roster wise to compete against the best. The Beauty is watching the program grow. Like Cooper who can one day be a AA has all the tools just lacks experience and has learn from her mistakes. Can Spearman who we need to be better can she improve. I have loved watching Tess and Jill improve their game because they are finally in playing shape to succeed and just maybe Puckett will join the party more consistently. Don't give up enjoy the ride thick or thin. In CHRIST Alone

Next year we should take another step upward will have tremendous wing and guard talent. We do need a center or solid post players out of the portal. Otherwise were good to go if everybody stays. Were getting some players that are very consistent game to game in their play. Anyone that watched the games this week knows that Mya Pauldo should be rated in the top 20 just like her sister Mia. Prawl is legit top ten player. Civil could turn out to be the top player in the class really fills a stat sheet like Cooper. Hurst is a solid three point shooter.

This staff will dominant the 2025 spring window transfer portal period to complete the roster just as they have done the previous 8 months recruiting.
This staff knows what the team needs to contend for a SEC and NCAA title.
Make no mistake, they are contending this season for a SEC and NCAA title.

I agree with you that we need a couple of top notch center/post players from the portal for the upcoming 2025/2026 season. I believe the staff will indeed secure such players. In addition, I further believe that top post players--at least two three of them-- will be the focus in the 2026 class.

But first things first, this current team has plenty of business to take care of this season.

GBO.

Ravol, you're a good guy, so please tidy up the misfortunate omission of a key letter above in order to avoid any initial misunderstanding. I was skimming pretty fast and was taken aback until realizing what you were actually saying. 😉

I have nothing profound to say after this Vandy loss.

This Coach and team will go forward and represent the University proudly the remainder of this season and I do believe that there will be many bright spots between now and the Ides of March .
The loss was just poor offense terrible shot selection in the second period of the game. Completely went away from the game plan of driving the ball and were launching threes. It resulted in digging another hole we could not completely get out of. 11 points down because of poor play in that quarter. 18 down against Oklahoma and 19 against LSU. Not going to win very often shooting 3 of 20 from the three in the first half of the game yet we almost did. The sad thing is one point loss is still a loss and it gets tiring happening three times in the last four games.

Got to be a game where some of those layups and misses arounf the goal go in. Got to be one where we make the last shot to win in a close game. It has to happen when I don't know.

disagree,,,most of the 3's were pretty much open looks,,,and for a reason,,,they WERE't making them!

This is where the team has to get a clue,,if a team is giving you unguarded 3's,,,there's a reason

Has anyone heard any news or updates on our 2026 recruiting class?? Noticed there hasn't been any new posts or info put on the thread in a while. I looked around today to see if we were leading for Edward's, Jones, etc., but couldn't find anything. Would really like to add Edward's or the other Oliviyah and Harpring. Those girls combined with our 2025 class and the 2026 seniors like Cooper, Whitehorn, and Latham could definitely be a national championship team.

No need to scream or draw excess attention to your posts by using bold text. They will get read.

Agree in full, but I think you're under appraising Hurst a little. She is indeed, a three-point shooter; she can also defend and rebound; and she can handle. But, unlike so many Tennessee "shooters" in recent years (or actually decades) Lauren can actually drive, stop, pull up, and drop it in from anywhere on the court. And, this is somewhat unique: she can stop and pop moving to her left. But, overall you're right, a tremendous class. That, and improve the players we have, and we're very good. Here's hoping they all stay.

On the subject of shooting - the driving, turning fade away by Deniya, posted by KnoxLikeUs, is a skill formerly reserved for the upper-echelon of the Men's game. That shot was actually pretty well defended, and yet she just flicked it up and over ...like nuthin. We're thankfully seeing more and more players - Crump, Davidson, Prawl, of course; Crittendon, Harpring, The Twins, etc. - working that type of game. Rickea, of course, utilizes many of those skills; she's such a great example to showcase this beautiful next step for the younger Ladies.

Wow great catch and fixed. Thanks. Roman's 1:16-17

100%! Let CKC cook. That’s exactly the kind of the basketball analysis that very few on this forum is capable of seeing translates to greatness with the incoming elite commits at UT.
These casual fans are on here getting excited about goofy spelling errors, trying to project personalities through a keyboard, or other foolishness. Meanwhile we sit back watching Coach Caldwell, Coach Tubner, and Coach Lazo build an elite roster while currently contending for SEC and NCAA titles.
