2025 Transfer Portal Thread

We are having a legitimate conversation with Ament and his agent. It’s a real thing, but he’s been working this for weeks with others. Some developments made him rethink where he wants to be. Rice is a real probability too. The McNeely loss woke up some people to the reality that the market is different, and we’ll move faster and more deliberately to get this wrapped up. I can’t talk about anyone’s health. I said as much as I can say on that topic. Obviously there’s concern given the moves they’re making.
May Larry Pratt live until he is a million.

You guys are nuts if you believe this guy can't play for us. He moves guys off the block and goes to the rim in a big way. We need this type of toughness on the team badly
I 100% want this dude; to me he's a more refined Tobe Awaka with the potential to become the closest thing to Grant Williams we've had in 5 years (say what you want, but we've never truly replaced Grant's physicality and attitude).

Houston's biggest guy was 6'9 and they were constantly out jumping our taller players for ORebs. Physical height is less important than athleticism and physicality, and Carey has both IMO.
Their 6’8 and 6’9 guys, Roberts and Tugler both had a 7’6 wingspan.

A lot of this is exciting but if this means Estrella is struggling to get healthy that’s a real bummer. For one thing I really liked his potential, but more importantly just hate it for a talented kid. But maybe it’s just a longer than expected recovery, but still ultimately expected
Didn't he have surgery for a stress fracture in his foot? That's a tough surgery for a big man to have. If he can't go, I hope he has a path to coaching if that's what he wants to do.
