Unsurprisingly, Mark Pope doing pretty well in the portal while bringing in several 5-star freshman. Going to be deep next year.

Probably be a final 4 roster when the dust settles. Question remains....how well will they mesh and how will the culture play out? Not all mercs are created equal.

Regrettably if you win it all goes away, if you lose it becomes a show cause and money saving out for the University. The thing about it if he is guilty it will happen again in the future, predators may pause but if they are enabled you will see it again.

Not every player is going to be a "I need my minutes now or I'm gone" type...

Bishop picked Barnes, we all know there was no false pretense in that recruitment. He was told what they thought he offered, where he could get better, and what they expected of him to see more minutes. This past season our guard group was deep with talent...and had Freddie & Carr not bailed he likely was expecting even less PT than he got. Not saying this year Bishop is a starter or a 20 minutes a night guy... but even looking at the 2 teams that played last night.

Sharp is a 3rd year guy at Houston
Arceneaux is a 3rd year guy at Houston
Aberdeen is a 3rd year guy at Florida
Richard is a 3rd year guy at Florida (first year he was at Belmont)

You still need players that stick around and earn their keep.

Seems like we'll see at least 2 more from the portal even if we don't move to 15. Ament & Felix's younger brother likely 2 spots as HS guys.

Rice I think we land...kind of hoping we get Ament & Freeman just because that sort of length that can also play outside would be nice

Nope, that’s about right, he ended up getting more when he blew up, but still probably didn’t get to $500k

We have a huge offer higher than most on Ament. Arkansas boards have said this.

Cooper Flagg is staying in college and transferring to Kentucky and Pitino is going to be the associate HC according to the Kentucky board.

I don’t think that’s in the plans, Carey is a good offensive option, JP has more offense than Okpara or Cade. And then obviously the hope is you land one of Ament/Freeman which both of those guys bring offense

Originally committed to Kentucky out of high school but when Calipari bolted he decided to go to ASU. Guess Pope has proved to Quaintance that he is a decent HC...
