As I said early in this thread, Barnes was all over Passmore early in his recruitment when he was still playing at AC Reynolds. After he transferred to prep school is when the big competition set in and he ultimately choose Kansas.

He’s very athletic and has tremendous upside on both sides of the court. He was never going to feature at Kansas as a freshman.

I’m gonna take your question as to mean how will they fit in with these other pieces.

I think Cade and Felix almost exclusively relied on put backs or great dimes from ZZ for dunks. We don’t know if Gillespie can be nearly as effective at the latter as ZZ.

So there is a chance that if they can’t generate more points back to the basket, depending on what our scoring distribution looks like, they both might bleed minutes to Estrella and Carey who seem like much more capable offensive threats.

We just have to see how it plays out.

There is also a possibility we end up with Rice. Ament and Freeman. If that happens, starting lineup becomes difficult to project. It’d be an embarrassment of riches.

Freeman rebounded really well at LMU. If that even partially translates, I can see him playing the 4 on defense and wing on offense. And maybe you can have Rice, Freeman and Ament all in the same starting lineup.

Yes, thanks for actually answering my question. Barnes is paid the big $ to figure all that out and make everybody happy.

Same place they fit in this past year. None of these guys are ball dominant, highly skilled post players. But they know their role and are good at doing just that. Now, JP could potentially be a huge offensive plus if he can get healthy and take his game up a notch. Okpara is mainly a lob threat and a shot blocker/rebounder. The guys we are targeting right now are shooters and players who can put the ball in the basket. Won't affect our returning players in a negative way and could very well help them improve their games as well.

Well, I guess taking Passmore means no ZZ or Gainey if you were to land all these guys plus Passmore.

Still taking Okpara’s brother.

That’s either full, or have one spot left overall

If we end up with the roster he was predicting then those 3 players will be very unlikely to be in the regular rotation.
