Scholarship athletes at USC do not pay for their own living expenses. Whether that be on-campus or off-campus. He will not be paying rent to live in LA during this time there. That is assuming his housing will be on campus, which is a bit of an assumption. Just as a general response, how much do you think a 22 year old millionaire will spend in the LA nightlife as opposed to Knoxville?
I read an article about how the Euro talent is about to really explode over here with the money in college basketball now.I’m a little surprised more schools aren’t going international routes, I think NIL is limited on those guys as to how much they can get, Illinois and St. John’s are 2 teams stocking up on those guys. Even just 2-3 quality international guys that are rotation pieces probably saves you $4-$5m to use elsewhere.
Adams: BamaHard to find a list of international players...some of them might be waiting to see how the NBA Combine goes.
Here's some HS guys we offered that are no longer committed or signed yet..
Darius Adams - SG - 6'5" (decommitted from UConn)
Acaden Lewis - CG - 6'2" (decommitted from Kentucky)
I read they’re capped at $500k which if true is obviously a bargain on many of those guys, also due to how they do their leagues you’re getting guys who are 21/22 year old freshman many times, so very mature playersIt’s tough right now with F-1 visa’s and international athletes in the NIL era. Maybe there will be clarity in a court case soon.
not this simply, but option a: Okpara for $1m and take little bro at spot 13 or option b: take a player similar to Okpara for $2m and another LM type with spot 13. And then what does that extra million cost you, no Carey? Maybe no Gillespie? JMOI guess I get that in terms of scholarship limits. Not sure I get it in terms of appeasing Okpara. He’s good, but I don't know that he's worth two scholarships. But then it becomes a chicken/egg scenario.
I prefer experienced players, but how could you complain about a top 20 hs talent? Sign one or both and lets roll!Hard to find a list of international players...some of them might be waiting to see how the NBA Combine goes.

Yeah, if any of our seniors were planning to play somewhere other than Tennessee they'd need to enter the portal before it closes today.
